How could such a thing exist? Why every metro area I've ever been to has been a veritable utopia!

Been in both, enjoyed both. O'Rourke's (long since closed) in Chicago, had a great discussion with a Black Gentleman about politics. We disagreed on many things, but it was very thought provoking and we shook hands afterward as he left. CJ's in Batavia, IL, it was a biker bar and always had a line of Harley's out front. Walking distance from a friend's place and nicer people than the place a couple blocks away where everyone stared at the "strangers in the bar". Ever walk into a place and everyone goes quiet, that was the other bar. CJs had Cricket & Pinball & Pool tables, none of the bikers gave us any grief.
