Look I’m not saying dealing with it isn’t important...that being said I do in fact hear about mental disorders all the fucking time...not just at work but tv, talk shows, news articles, Magazines, YouTube....I do believe that at one point it was vastly overlooked. I don’t believe this is the case anymore...I do however feel that at this point it’s a “likes being the victim” kind of deal. i do understand that it’s not an exact science...and I call bullshit on Phillies “can’t live a normal life” crap. I’ve DEALT with someone who was and still is bipolar...and she’s living life just fucking fine. Slipping through the cracks and committing suicide is because the system failed you. However...given trauma, or chemical imbalances you and you alone killed you. It was a choice. Albeit one not made soundly, but you were the one factor that made that decision. And yes there are people who gave diabetes to themselves, but there are also others who have genetic predispositions to it like myself. It’s really a waiting game for me...and sadly..no matter how much weight I lose, no matter how many times a week I exercise...it’s coming... and I accept that...I move on...but it will be what kills me...not of my choice or choices... i find the comparison to diabetics subpar. It’s almost like saying people with cancer are gonna die anyways why bother, my mental state is more important...look at me LOOK AT MEEEE

So much is wrong with this I’m not even sure where to begin... ok it’s diabetes...beginning of the word is di or in this case die...because you WILL DIE from it...the medications to help treat diabetes affects other parts of the body negatively...and if the lack of proper blood sugar (which is needed for the organs to function properly mind you) isn’t maintained, that can kill you. Or the meds will kill you. Plus as a diabetic you don’t heal nearly as fast as someone who doesn’t have it...so illness are deadlier. your mental disorder won’t kill you...it’s not leading to your death. Now you may kill you as a result of not taking meds. But leaving your mental disorder untreated isn’t medically going to lead you to an early grave

Goodrx lumps all third party members (not to be confused with brand name manufacturers) whom have contracts with pharmacies and offer coupons on meds in one place. These prices fluctuate daily, however they do not update daily. 99.9% of the time the price they quote you is what you’ll pay. My recommendation? Check them EVERYTIME you pick up a script that currently uses one of their coupons. As I said they fluctuate, therefore you may end up occasionally finding one cheaper. tl;dr? goodrx is accepted at most pharmacies, this cuts the pharmacy’s profit, not the actual drug price. Bad for pharmacy, good for you
