I had to do it five years ago because I had had enough of his selfish ways. Every single time money was involved in a particular situation, it was somehow manipulated to serve him. So after over a decade of friendship, I dropped his ass. (Figuratively, of course. He was -- and is -- much bigger than I am.) We haven't spoken since.
