That's brutal. And that sounds like what happened with me. I never got to see my dad take his last breath either. He was already gone when my wife and I got to the hospital. Some say it was probably better that I didn't get to see him expire. I don't know. I wanted to be able to hold his hand and say goodbye before he died. My deepest condolences, brother. I know exactly how you feel. Though in my case, Dad's passing was sudden. What I can tell you is your life will never be the same.
