It's actually a bit more complicated than you'd think. All new users have to be approved by the admin (and the admin only checks new users like once every other month) and the admin usually only approves you if they know who you are or if you have a social media presence as a looner (Which I fit into neither of those categories).

I'm not gonna link it. Many looner forums have had problems with mass trolling/hacking in the past when someone has linked them to outside communities. I'd rather not risk causing that to happen to that forum, especially since I kinda like the place.

have been the only online communities with which I've felt comfortable enough to join. And I can't quite figure out why. What is it these places do differently? It has to be something, but I dunno what.
