    Having gotten caught up with the manga and having watched some episodes of the anime already, I can tell you that this show is...generic. Now hold on just a minute guys and don't put your rage pants on just yet. WHILE IT IS SOMEWHAT GENERIC, I can say unlike some other generic shounen like Kekkaishi where not only is the story simplistic but the characters are boring as well, Demon Slayer has something of a charm to it. It's a little hard to explain, but watching this show, I kinda felt an endearing charm coming from some of these kids. It could be the rural Japanese setting or the fact that it's being animated by the same people behind the Fate series or it could be a combination of both. Whatever it is, I just find it to be gripping in a way. I'll let you guys judge for yourself as the weeks progress, but if you're willing to give the simplicity of the story the benefit of the doubt, you'll find that sticking around could be worth it.
