I got it working. Thank you guys for trying to help! There were a few issues. One was dynamic IP issue. I set up a static one. Then the other thing filezilla was choosing ports itself instead of the ones i wanted it to. I forget what thats called.

What would you recommend nowadays? I'm good now. I fixed it, but im still curious since youre good at this stuff. Like what do you use for moving stuff around? I'm using filezilla. Idk much about web development so any and all advice is welcome and appreciated.

yea its not too expensive. 200-300 maybe for everything id want probably. like sensibly want. id like to have a whole computer repair laboratory to play in if i could

the multimeter is the most important most expensive thing. ones in that price range might be inaccurate, break, or not have the right features.

i found soldering to not be so hard once i learned about the different kinds of solder, rosins, and other products. or more importantly how to test for proper connection and shorts w/a multimeter so i dont have to turn the thing on and pray i did it right. i want to try and fix bf's fried xbox1 but i dont have the tools. im waiting until something important enough breaks that itll be worth investing in a new soldering kit.

oh i mean i know about those. there are some pretty slick ones that arent so crude. touchscreens and everything. theyre not smartphones... well since its a PC it kinda IS a smartphone but u know what i mean. i looked at the steps to make them but it seemed beyond my skill level getting a carrier and SIM card that will work on the cell tech of the pi seemed like one of the easier steps actually
