  1. Huh. Must've missed that. The Western artstyle and Ralph Bakshi being the quote-tweeter threw me off.
  2. I don't think this board is the right discussion for this. Could've at least drawn a comparison to Miyazaki.
  3. Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack 9
  4. What is love, besides whatever the hell's going on below me?
  5. On the one hand, it's nice to see my timeline so clean for once. On the other... Yeah.
  6. Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun 12 Pop Team Epic 26 (dubbed)
  7. To quote someone on the [as] community we all left behind, the biggest prank they pulled in 2022 was getting people to watch Birdgirl.
  8. Nothing. April 1st is on a Saturday, yes, but [as] normally does their prank within those bounds; in the case of this year, late Friday night. While I wouldn't put it past them to air something on Saturday prime time, the moment Toonami starts - which will technically be on April 2nd - the playing around is over. Even sadder, we won't be getting a stunt on Saturday next year either, thanks to a little thing called "leap years".
  9. My Hero Academia 121 This season's just one hope spot after another. Is it any wonder it's competing with the OVA episode of Eureka seveN AO for my least favorite BONES anime ever?
  10. IIRC, the problem with Sentai isn't that they don't want their stuff on Toonami like the case is with Sony/Crunchyroll, but that whenever [as] extends offers to license from them, it takes forever for them to get back to them. In the end, what we have here is a failure to communicate. [bang]
  11. None so far. I have two engineering degrees, so it's unlikely I ever will.
  12. This. Five Guys knows how to do mayo on a burger right.
  13. "I can make a better non-anime anime than gen:LOCK." - Michael B. Jordan, probably.
  14. It's like the Magic Dance, but a lot less whimsical and spangly. 12:00 - My Hero Academia #124 - Dabi's Dance - TV-14V 12:30 - Ballmastrz: Rubicon - TV-14DLV 1:00 - Justice League vs. The Fatal Five - TV-14LV 2:45 - Rick & Morty: Summer's Sleepover - TV-14 It's italicized because I'm not sure if it's aired on the linear network before, despite being from August of last year.
  15. I actually had the following reply typed up, but apparently the website trashed it while my back was turned, so here it is in as recreative a manner as possible. Now for the ratings. Chainsaw Man #2: Arrival in Tokyo (TV-MAV) Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack #6: How Are Your Fortunes This Year, Senpai? (TV-14DS) Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack #7: I Figured That's How You'd Ski, Senpai. (TV-14L) Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack #8: Why Don't You Try Bulking Up a Little, Paisen? (TV-14DLS) Initial D Fifth Stage #3: Dead Line (TV-PG) The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague #6: Lost in Amusement Park (TV-PG) The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague #7: Excitement! The Halloween Costume Contest (TV-PG) The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague #8: The Little Sister Appears! Christmas on the Slopes (TV-PG) Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 #13: DOMINO EFFECT (TV-14V) Pacific Rim: The Black #14: Final Approach (TV-14V) Rizelmine #7: Rival? Big-Breasted High School Girl! (TV-14DS) Submarine Super 99 #12: Decisive Battle (TV-PG) The Rising of the Shield Hero #13: The Devil of the Shield (TV-14V) The Rising of the Shield Hero #14: Everlasting Memory (TV-14) Trigun Stampede #5: Child of Blessing (TV-14V) Trigun Stampede #6: Once Upon a Time in Hopeland (TV-14V) Trigun Stampede #7: WOLFWOOD (TV-14V) Coming next month will be Last Exile, stepping up to replace Sub Super 99 in the "from my home video collection" front; and though I still have yet to finalize what it is, a show with connection to the Kinky Kunoichi: Nagoya File direction analyses will come in after the halfway point of Patapata Hikousen is reached. Jane's adventure will continue once her mid-season replacement sees its own completion, whether it's in a ramen shop, the halls of an adventurers' guild, or a vampire's living room. [but definitely not on jet skis]
  16. Trigun Stampede 7 Rizelmine 7
  17. Or until Zaslav gets sacked. I say we flip that coin.
  18. My Hero Academia 120 Finally, we get to see All Might in the present and it isn't that damn statue!
  19. Apparently Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World 7 The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague 8
  20. Also (in)famous for Toonami cutting the series short just before the end, then reneging that decision after the fanbase bitched hard enough. The lunatics have taken over the asylum, indeed.
  21. Of Leiji's works, I've only seen the first six episodes of Star Blazers via SyFy Ani-Mondays (which were airing on Thursday around that time) at half-attention, and all but the finale of Submarine Super 99. I might go ahead and finish it later this month. R.I.P.
  22. I'd imagine they want to, but Crunchyroll won't let them. Safest assumption to make right now.
