Card ran 10pm-12:30am on FS1. Easy to tuck in a Jack ep during the undercard and come back for the co-main and main. Good card too. Ton of KO's.

Considering Super's reviews are in the toilet (Look, GT was bad but it was short and the last third of the series is considered a lot better), I would say yes.

I would hardly go that far. It kept getting pushed because people thought it could be this ubiquitous iconic success. It became successful to a degree, but never to the degree people wanted. Otherwise companies wouldn't keep abandoning it.

The proof is in the cancellation. Look, a lot of properties get a niche audience here but aren't household names. Asterix, Doctor Who, etc. But hardcore One Piece fans always expected this to be the next Simpsons and that was never going to happen.

I didn't say "it's bad because I don't like it", but it's bad for a bunch of other reasons.

Can we finally admit that One Piece...isn't that good? It was first acquired as a tacked on requirement to another deal, Toei has tried to market it for years here with less and less success (see games going form physical releases to download only for one console). It has been released over and over to a smaller and smaller audience. The story is ham fisted, the pacing abysmal, the characters devlolved into utter caricatures at this point, the stories lacking depth and emotional resonance, and the art style has never appealed to the West. It looks goofy and boring because it is.

They tried with One Piece for FOUR YEARS. Four years of failure. Hiatus will be over in two.

Well it's not banished. Yet.
