    It seems to be a huge problem for Japanese authors. So many anime start out grounded and really good.. then start to go off the rails like AOT and their magic amnesia king.

    I've noticed Japanese authors have an unfortunate attempt to constantly try to one up themselves by adding more and more fantastical stakes. I'm sure they'll be killing God soon.
