The US anime audience does not care about sports anime. At all. That's almost exclusively Japan. The fact that they tried showing Prince of Tennis is another thing that makes me think these guys have no idea what they're doing.

I don't know, did he do that stuff out of the goodness of his heart or did he just like the fighting part? I never watched it subbed because the voices are ridiculously awful, so I can't say how much the dialogue changing between sub and dub changed the character. It's important to remember though, Toriyama is a shitty writer. He's very creative, and an amazing artist. But he sucks at writing and with his memory he may well have early onset Alzheimer's. Viewed in English, he's your classic pure hearted shonen protagonist. He also uses the Flying Nimbus in Super, which can only be used if you have a pure heart. So who knows =P

Such a Vegeta fan boy! SS3 is way stronger than SS2 Vegeta. Not sure where you read that =P

It's because they use some random Tumblr poll that only 50 people know about. The fact that they actually request a 2009 anime like Fairy Tail over every single recent popular anime leads me to believe that it's a complete joke. Not that I wouldn't prefer FT over most of the stuff on the block now, but seeing it in the top 3 in 2017? I don't buy that at all. If they actually wanted to they could make a new poll, and bump it on Toonami with a simple "Go here to tell us what anime you want to see." They'd actually get enough people to form a decent sample size and make better decisions. Even most of the TG manga fans think the anime sucks. But I always found DW more baffling, as no one had even heard of it and the manga had no following or critical acclaim.

Don't forget Super and Casshern Sins. Oh and Samurai 7.

You need a huge current hit with Western appeal to hold Kai, like MHA, Mob Psycho or Re Zero. One Punch man actually gained on Kai some nights, but OPM level hits are few and far between.

Don't forget they have dragonballs AND a time machine AND Whis can rewind time as well. They've got undo buttons everywhere. GT added the dark star dragonballs, Super added planet sized dragonballs. The franchise is pretty stupid and out of ideas at this point. Other than "lets make every character a god." If Super actually had good fight scenes I wouldn't even care, but it can't even do that right. They created a way for characters to die permanently and then never used it or talked about it again.

But it's weird and has horrifying deaths and a wacky twist, what more can you want?
