i was watching times square on tv, from 11:50 to well after midnight. i looked at the screen for the final countdown and when the camera focussed on that tower the ball hangs above, all i saw was a toshiba sign lit up in white, the ball was invisible to me for some reason and rewatching in online videos doesnt do it much justice either, the ball above the tower just disappeared in a fraction of a second, nothing spectacular seemed to happen. i am majorly confused

i hope im in ground zero if we get attacked. because if the possibility of the end of the lives of millions arrives during my lifetime, i want to jump that boat. its the same feeling i get when i think if fighting to kill your enemy is a good thing, or killing to defend. i would die to preserve, i would die to follow that poltergeist of millions of souls crossing to the otherside. i believe dying with millions is the safest way to die, i guess too. it would be so utterly irresponsible of anyone in power to bomb a country in its general population, that i cant even believe that we did it in retaliation before. blowing up the enemy is kosher with me, but normal people arent the enemy. so that makes me give up hope really fast. people could be evaporated where they stand like in japan.
