Damn dandelion wine murals. Keeping people from getting the scurvies. -
Agent Coulson was the connection between the series and the movies. Fury said that it was more important for the team to think he was dead in order to get them to work together better and think more about the consequences of their bickering which is why Coulson sort of disappeared. Further when the Civil War happened, his direct job with the Avengers would have ceased anyway and gone underground so his main job became keeping SHIELD going underground and bringing in the unintentional powered people instead. The movie big battle happens in NY [covered on the tvs] and overseas [where it wasn't on tv quite yet] while the series had their own big battle going on in Chicago that ended just shortly before the battle ended in the movie. So they were busy with their own Earth-saving battle. The point with Gotham is the journey and the origin stories. If people need to have DC special effects every 5 minutes, the CW has a butt-ton of DC superhero shows. I recalling most but not all since it's been forever, but that was the main gist of ThunderCats and occurred in the second season. I have Part Two of it but not Part One so I haven't been able to rewatch it yet.

rants Haters/Complainers: Legacy of Spleen
katt_goddess replied to mthor's topic in General Discussion
Why? Again? Why you do this? That is not my litter box. It is a weird box that you put the old hood on to try and trick me. It doesn't have me smell. My box is over there. It is not in the right place and it's all exposed. I don't like that. You think giving me a choice will make me change my own mind. That is not how this works. I poop in the sandy things and you scoop. I poop in my litter box and demand that you scoop it immediately because the sight of concentrated evil offends me. We've had this schedule going for almost 10 years now and it's been pretty good for me. I've even mastered the art of standing on my hindlegs to launch evil directly into that box when necessary. I've recreated the surface of Mars in there. And now you want to change all that? I don't care if it's suppose to be easier and quicker to clean. That's on you. My job is to poop in there and that is not the home bowl I'm used to. I touched the things in there and they were too big for me to pick up between my toes and transport to your bed. You think that's funny? Funny is watching you make it hail every night trying to get all the sands out of the bed before going to sleep at night. This isn't funny. You are pushing the limits of my kitty autism and I'd tell on you to the news peoples if I could reach the phone. And dial. This calls for a litter box strike. I vow to not use that thing and not use the old one until it's back in it's rightful spot. At least until I can barely walk. Then I'm going to leave you a present on the carpet. Again. Dictated not read Rak-rak the poop-striking bitchcakes kitty -

I posted a pic in it and it deleted itself. Same thing happened on the old boards. I posted a pic in the pic thread and it disappeared from life. I honestly didn't realize the shirt was that see-through...

So is this the thread where we post boobs when we're bored? I can schedule in some bored but I'll probably take a nap instead.

The Venture Bros. are coming back this summer!

Sweet! They were being forced to work on both 7 and 8 back-to-back, so much so that Doc couldn't even get to Atlanta last year and I knew that 7 had already been recorded for sure which is usually a good indicator that the bulk of the animation is done as well. I hope this means he'll be free to wander this year. Urbaniak and Gagliardi have already RSVP'd. I'd expect it sometime in July or August because it would be the perfect tie-in for the book that is finally coming out. -
I wish OKC would go back to its previous format

Pretty sure dumbass spent his entire time-out eating fast food and hitting refresh on this site. And then drawing a face on the wrappers and mushu boxes to be sad with. Because Taco Bell totally equals Mexican Chick, BK totally equals Canadian Chick, Subway totally equals Italian Chick, Wok This Way totally equals Chinese Chick... -

Masterbating to Taco Bell wrappers and take out menus doesn't count as around the world anything. -
Agents of SHIELD was Marvel's way to introduce and build a base for inhumans on Earth as well as to make the whole Marvel universe interconnected [ex. there were news stories playing in the background of this recent season that were from the Infinity War movie if you knew what you were looking at] . There was supposed to be an Inhumans movie but they went with the series instead which only started to touch on inhumans on Earth, seemed disconnected with the stuff established so far with Agents and I guess has been cancelled. -.-; Gotham is all about the growth of things. It didn't start out with Batman or Villains but it now has both either in noticeable fledgling form [they haven't embraced a 'name' yet] or fully formed [ex. Riddler is Riddler] . And, end game of original ThunderCats [as vaguely remembered] - the royal family ship wasn't the only one that made it safely away from the dying planet, it was the one that ended up going the farthest away before finding a place to crash. The damage to the controls and Jaga's age likely contributed to the fact that they went so far and couldn't make contact with any other survivors. A small but sustainable colony of Thunderians had managed to find another planet at some point between Thundera and Third Earth and there were also some that had been captured and were being used as slaves by the 'elites' originating from the Moons of Plunn-darr. Eventually the ones on Third Earth were alerted to the existence of the others by the discovery of three new Cats that they liberated from the moon mutant types when they all showed up on Third Earth, freed Third Earth of it's current ruling evil once and for all, were able to finally finish space-safe ships fast enough to make it to the new colony, and rebuild it as New Thundera.

Semi-my bad. I did go back and check again. I'll blame the horrible heat and a summer cold. <.< >.> It must have been in my head somewhere though because I used Muppet Babies and Duck Tales as examples and that dude works for Disney. But my general feeling and comment still remain relatively intact. I wouldn't waste my time rebooting something I hated as a child. And I can honestly say I wouldn't cheerlead for a reboot of something I'm on the record as saying I hated as a child either because I'd be the last person you could trust for that opinion. I could be sincere in backing a college buddy or I could be dancing gleefully because hated show is being turned into chibi kibbles. It's the internet, both could be correct.

Yeah, really. Death threats are just pathetic. If you have to be all roar over roar, state simply that you hate the look, you have no intention of watching it and you'll be encouraging all your friends both with and without kids to skip the eyesore. And then follow through. Simple. Personally, I highly doubt I'll see a single of episode of this. It has no appeal to me as it's been presented and it's creative team is lead by a dude who said he hated the original series. As someone already pointed out, if he was watching it when it was first airing, he was like 4 and that would have meant he wouldn't have understood it and would have been pissed that it was on instead of Muppet Babies or Duck Tales or something similarly bright colored and simple. Why would you spend your time and energy re-doing something you hated? That would be like me saying 'Gee, I hate the hell out of giant flying fighting robots in space opera shows. Put me in charge of the next Gundam series! I have metallic paint and finger puppets that would look absolutely fantastic in it!' It's a waste of my time and energy and an insult to people who actually like those giant flying fighting robots in space opera shows.

I looked. Especially at WalMart since I figured if anyone was going to have franchised toy garbage by the ton, it would be the same place where you can get cheesecake and truck tires. It's like there wasn't a single toy any where until after it had been cancelled. I think I saw a couple of things wedged in the clearance section of a Toys R Us but nothing of note at all. Poor planning all around.
-
Damn it, that sucks. Even Agent Carter got more than one season and she didn't have transporting mutant puppies.
-
Oye. I watch Agents of SHIELD. I also watch Gotham, The Gifted, and Inhumans. It's like an almost daily morphine drip.
-
Serious 'question' - what toys? I never saw any ads for toys and never saw any toys at either WalMart or Toys R Us. And I looked too because I'm a damn nerd. It's not like I live in a tiny town either so toys should have made it to my area at some point. I've only seen toys by going to Amazon and physically searching them out. If toy sales are going to be used as a measure of whether or not to continue a series, then you need to actually put out the toys.
