  1. I can rewire a chandelier and set it up as a swag lamp.
  2. How about... When there's toilet paper in the glove compartment, every stand of trees is a toilet.
  3. I guess, then, a royal wedding gives people something to yammer about besides Trump.
  4. When I was a kid, there was no such thing as a pc. A computer was a gigantic thing that took up a five story building and only banks and the government had them. The bank in my neighborhood would occasionally throw crates of paper punch cards in the dumpster. There were no floppy disks, just paper punch cards to hold data.
  5. Go to a bar, buy a drink and make a mad dash for the loo.
  6. I didn't get a tv in my room until I was 12. I bought it with my paper route money. Before I was allowed to set it up there, I had to convince my parents that I wouldn't be awake all night watching it. I bought earphones and kept the brightness set on low.
  7. If you're a Brit, you'd know it only as a royal flush of tax dollars down the loo.
  8. I'm not.
  9. I hear Laurel & Hardy. Not really. Just laurel. Rest on my laurels. I'm sure if they take away the music, most people would hear both.
  10. Why do you keep accusing me of theft?
  11. Unfortunately, that's what cops and EMT's have to be wary of.
  12. Plausible enough... But it wasn't mentioned in this instance.
  13. I need some red wine to soak a steak.
  14. I don't know how they awakened him or what put him in that condition. I was just walking by when I saw security trying to get a handle on the situation. Stopped to see how it would play out.
  15. I never got within six feet of him. No pocket raids.
  16. Had an unconscious man laying on the steps at the casino. Security tried to awaken him. No response. They called an ambulance. Upon arriving at the scene, the ambulance driver said, "Wait... is THIS the patient? No, I'm NOT carrying this slob down the stairs." She and her assistant managed to awaken him and then, stood him on his feet, holding him by the arms as he slowly shuffled to the ambulance. Such professionals.
  17. So, what makes charity any more holy than profit? Either way, it's still gambling.
  18. Tell me about it. What's wrong with buying a $900 tv set and putting it up for a raffle? In NJ, only non profit organizations are allowed to do that. Look, whether I do it or an NP does, it could still get the same auditing and oversight. So, what gives?
  19. We didn't discuss prices yet. He asked for details, photos and other information.
  20. He has a need for old radios that he can restore and sell. Never mind any smells, if any at all. That gets cleared up in the restoration process.
  21. Tell that to the Japanese when they buy our old radiators, busted boilers, etc. and sell it all back to us as new Toyotas.
  22. He's already answered my email to inquire about three of my radios.
  23. So, you didn't see the prices he's getting? There's a whole page of things he has already sold.
