  1. That can be done without a car.
  2. I saw a turtle eat a plumb once.
  3. People used to think that LSD was legitimate medicine... nice to see that went out along with leeches and spell casting.
  4. I moved one house for a friend. He had a three bedroom house with a garage and every room was packed from floor to ceiling, wall to wall with boxes and furniture. His aim was to put it all in storage, sell the house unfurnished and move to Florida. All that stuff had to go into a giant storage locker he rented. He rented a van that wasn't big enough for the job and so multiple trips, it took from 10 am to almost 8:30 pm to get everything moved. In another instance, two ladies had to move across town to another apartment. Again, the van was way too small so the work went into overtime. The most difficult part was getting a damned chest freezer up to the second floor by myself. No elevator. So, yes... I know what it is to move things for people and I'll be damned if I subject anybody that I respect to that kind of work, even if it's just one piece. I'll man up and hire somebody to do the work. Cripes... you expect me to impose on people for shit like that while at the same time, I've been accused here of "mooching" because I used to pay a friend of mine twenty bucks a week to drop me off on his way home from work. And THAT wasn't even door to door, just stop at one corner on the very same route he normally took home anyway.
  5. Until the economy tanks and nobody could afford it.
  6. Where do bedbugs live when they're not in beds? Is it something that can be carried home from tall grass?
  7. New York Post readers would differ.
  8. With a Nerf gun?
  9. Donald Trump's childhood home in Jamaica Estates is now open to tourists at $617 per night. Accommodations include a cardboard cutout of our president so you can take selfies. This, according to Airbnb.
  10. Built in 1933, the 25,000 square foot mansion on 10.3 acres features a pool, tennis courts and covered parking for 40 cars. It had been the backdrop for the CBS sitcom. "Beverly Hillbillies". Price: $350 million.
  11. A Saudi diplomat brought a lady to his lair from a local night club and thought he would get an easy hook up. He woke up later to discover a high end watch and other valuables were missing. No sign of the lady. Police estimate that at least a hundred women are running similar theft scams at popular bars and night clubs. Sounds like the diplomat should stick to politics. Other than that, he's got his hormones in charge instead of his brain. ..
  12. 650 here, with a sit-in kitchen.
  13. If it weren't for Hetalia, I wouldn't have even been aware of Sealand. Anyway, I doubt the place has any good cigarettes available.
  14. I'm a friend to several people. Not being a high maintenance friend is part of how that happens. The benefits of owning a vehicle are measured in how many times you need to use it. If I had to buy or sell furniture every day, I'd buy a Suburban.
  15. I saw a documentary on the Discovery Channel a few years back, showing that the U.S. and Japan have a laser canon mounted on top of a 747. It can melt ICBM's in mid flight.
  16. That would knock out Philadelphia and New York in one shot.
  17. Dope smoking is "culture" now?
  18. A friend is not an appliance. When you have a vehicle, you pay every day. When you don't, you pay per use.
  19. I wouldn't know. I never owned one.
  20. "Curbiside delivery". At least that's what the salesman said about it. Lucky that two people came in the truck. I gave them twenty five bucks cash and they brought it right into the building and up the stairs. I really didn't feel like dragging it up the stairs myself. I've got my lower back to think about.
  21. So, you're looking for a high wattage appliance that stays active most of the time. When you find it, question whether you need it. Are your appliances measured in amps? Multiply amperage by voltage and you'll know the wattage.
  22. Swampy pooling of storm water that the "experts" at the Army Corps of Engineers kept claiming would not happen after the artificial dunes were built. The residents knew this would happen, why did it take the "experts" by surprise?
  23. Landlady won't let people put things on the roof.
