I can clean one thirty times a day, but it would still be dirty when somebody uses it as an ash tray three minute after I walk away to clean something else. Another reason I'm not seeing them anymore.

I'm not seeing them "all over the place", mainly because they are expensive to run and don't present any gain for the owner. Vending machines that distribute water in bottles have replaced the fountains.

Saying that it should be expected is not the same as saying it is deserved. I'm only saying that such events are regular and not man made.

It's the Gulf. Things like Harvey are to be expected, carbon or no carbon.

And the only profit from them goes to the water company and electric company. Set up a vending machine and sell bottles of Aquafina. Progress.

Fountains are about as popular today as pay phones and pay toilets.

You might find a drinking fountain or a Norge refrigerator, that doesn't make either as ubiquitous as vending machines.

Folding a slice of turkey doesn't double the amount.
