I mean yeah okay back then you couldn't embed stuff and there weren't any likes/kudos features (for a long time), so obviously that helps in terms of load times.....but you literally had like thousands of people logging on every day. I mean if we had that kind of traffic on this site....I think it would take about 1 full day to open up one page

Dude, forget youtube. Go try reading the comments section on a yahoo news article sometime. I swear I went on there once to read about this snowstorm and somehow the comments section was completely about politics....with people telling each other to go kill themselves left and right (I just realized that I made a pun without intending to ). All I kept thinking was....yup, this is why we can't have nice things.

:D :D I hear ya, man. Though I don't think it's a problem that's unique to just our message boards.I see it in a lot of places on the internet. Something about the ability to communicate mostly anonymously gives people this outlet to just vent out their frustration and hate. I don't know...to me it just doesn't make sense cause life is way too short and I'd rather spend it being productive or having a good time. I guess some people just get their jollies off of being THAT pissed off or needing that much unwarranted drama in their life. All I know is that everyone has crappy stuff happen to them but forget about internet stuff, I don't think I've ever had someone do me such personal harm that I wished death upon them. I mean whenever I see someone say that kinda stuff online, it just makes me feel sorry for them because it takes some kinda anger to get that upset with some random internet stranger who you probably don't engage with for maybe more than a couple of minutes a day. It's kind of a scary notion when you think about it because it's like well jeez....how easily do you get upset in real life? I just felt like responding because most of the time this kinda stuff goes on and no one says anything. And the people posting it go....well it must be okay to say. And maybe in some people's eyes it is okay but there are others out there who don't think it is and I guess in this instance I fell into that category. Annnyyyywwaaaays this post is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too preachy. I'm going back to posting just .gifs and youtube clips from now on

Dude, those are some pretty reprehensible statements. Either you don't understand how serious it is to wish cancer or death upon someone or you're some kind of uncaring sociopath. Either way, it's not a good look. Is Zeni annoying? Sure. Is he worth getting so worked up about? Absolutely not. For all of Zeni's nonsense, I'll give him credit for never really lashing out at anyone, no matter what they say about him. He's obviously doing his trolling thing....which is fine if that's what he chooses to do. You should at least consider the gravity of your words though, if not to a specific individual, then at the very least to the audience at large.
