Fire Force Season 2, episodes 1 and 2.

Not impressed. Way too focused on the convoluted storyline, which isn't well-written to begin with, with a rushed finale. You know they really wanted more than 13 episodes.

It's clear most of these reruns in odd timeslots are only meant to be placeholders, so they don't really care what point they take it off.

Well this premiere was damn better than I was expecting! That is saying something, coming from someone who didn't follow the manga, and thought Season 1 was unimpressive. Then again, Season 2 Episode 1 was written totally for the anime, as a way to reintroduce the main cast. Ep 2 dives right back into the main storyline, and so I guess we didn't get into the meat of this new arc. For a first day of their first convention, let alone their first VIRTUAL one, it was overall really good. It wasn't without its problems. The feed lagged a bit, causing me to refresh the page every 15 minutes or so which made me miss random parts, the chat was often taken over by obnoxious MHA fans, and one panel's taping even died right in the middle with no explanation why. I was surprised that some interviews were live but others were recorded earlier. One of the Japanese music guest's feed was a video that was actually 4 years old.

Now to determine exactly what date will be the best for its release, and if people feel safe going to see it.

About to watch the first ep of Season 2 (of Fire Force) as part of Funimation's virtual con. I hope we don't have tech issues.

That news doesn't mention Toonami. It's about the release in general, not whenever it's gonna be on cable.

Does this warrant an entire thread? By this logic, every VA tweet should have a thread. That said, it seems he's being type-cast already. It may have something do with him having a specific natural voice. We already know he got surgery for something, and he's been trying to strengthen his range.

I think they have no choice but to adapt if they want to keep working while at the same time distancing from each other. Already we know voice-actors are recorded alone, or two are recorded in the same building from many feet away from each other, and then they just clean the booth between sessions, and bring in the other actors.

I assume some of these are recorded earlier (I can see the performances being prerecorded), so that iwll give them some time during those videos to double-check everyone's connection and to get everyone set up.

On the downside, this worries me. The uncensored and more mature subject matter is one of the things that got me into anime in the first place because you never get that in American media.

here's another thing I am worried about- they have all these scheduled with no breaks between the other. Guests will likely have to get ready for the next event with 0 minutes to spare unless they want them all to start late.

Yeeeah we'll see how good their livestream is in the technical department.

So long, MHA. You had a rocky broadcast schedule in 2020, though not of your own fault. I await watching Season 5 whenever that happens!

I remember when the anime came out, places like Crunchyroll announced it was greenlit "for only one season", and I was elated, forgetting foolishly that any show can get a second season or more after that. Now look where we are.

Oh my god are you really one of those people who phrase it like a damn Twitter meme that outlasted its welcome?!

This, I hear, is what the next arc will chiefly be about. But the cliffhanger with Deku's dream makes me think it won't be all about that.
