  1. Yea, so this is real. Wow. Its actually happening.
  2. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/23/wagner-chief-accuses-russias-military-of-attack-and-says-evil-leadership-must-be-stopped Wagner chief accuses Russia’s military of attack and says ‘evil’ leadership must be stopped Yuuuup. Things are getting spicy.
  3. Ummmm, something pretty big may be happening. The Russian army apparently has started to shell multiple Wagner positions. Wagner is responding by abandoning positions and Prigozhin is saying hes going to march on Moscow to take down the Russian MoD. None of this is confirmed, and most "sources" for this are Wagner affiliated, so take it with a grain of salt. But it could be that the power struggle between Wagner and the MoD has boiled over.
  4. This would be a pretty big step from where we currently are. I dont totally disagree with it though. If a Nuke goes off in Ukraine theres a pretty good chance that fallout will drift into a NATO country. Same with if Russia decides to blow up the nuclear power plant.
  5. Yup. If the clouds green go inside. And if the cloud looks like boobs and makes you wonder if they are squishy, go inside and then maybe seek help.
  6. If I was in that storm I would be in my basement with my cat waiting for it to pass Im not dumb lol. When the sky is green and spinning, its time to take cover.
  7. Oh I know. This entire craft screamed "death trap" and there was no way in hell I would ever get into it. It was dumb as hell to ignore the 100+ years of safety and science that leads to modern craft.
  8. Im totally safe. Im about 30-45 mins north of this. The rain came through but no hail or rotation here. The storms blown through and there is a beautiful blue sky behind it. Ill go put my flowers back now I did get the alert from my office though to take cover. My office is on the edge of the tornado warning. I started to get texts from coworkers asking what was going on because everyone knows Im a total weather nerd. Had to let them know they were safe because the tornado was south of the office. Apparently it flooded though, the storm drains couldnt keep up so the 1st floor has water in it now.
  9. Confirmed trees down, gas leaks, electrical wires on the ground, and building damage from the tornado. No injuries reported yet, so thats fantastic. Last few days has been just WILD out here. We usually have a few days like this a year, but this feels different. Heres some videos:
  10. Oh hey, Tornado! There is actually a tornado on the ground here in the south part of town. Thats extremely rare. We get them, and tons of funnel clouds, but its super rare for a Tornado to actually touch down here.
  11. https://kdvr.com/news/local/red-rocks-hail-louis-tomlinson/ Red Rocks hailstorm: Nearly 100 concertgoers hurt Yea, so this happened last night. We have another day of huge storms today to.
  12. I dont really think its so much that rich people are naive as it is Humanity tends to trust its technology. No one at NASA was naive about the possibility of a space shuttle blowing up but we sent went to, and continue to go, space. If an airplane fails at 30k feet you are dead. Car breaks and steering fail on the highway? Probably dead. Hell, the Titanic itself was thought to be "unsinkable" at the time because of our trust in technology. We just trust that our technology is going to work and be the thing that gets us to our end goal. That mentality hasnt really changed. What has changed are safety standards and testing requirements. These guys seem to have skipped out on 100+ years of safety requirements and it cost them dearly.
  13. On the radio a bit ago they had an ex navy specialist on to talk about this. According to him that sound they heard was not the implosion. It was picked up by a P3 after the likely implosion event and it was too rhythmic to be the implosion. He speculated it was some other noise that is just traveling because noise apparently travels very well under water. If this was truly a catastrophic implosion then it would have been extremely quick and loud. He actually speculated that the US Navy, and other NATO Navys, have probably known that this thing failed from the minute it happened but wont disclose it because it gives away their listening secrets. He made it sound like its something that is extremely obvious to well trained ears and is unmistakable against background noise. I dont know how accurate that is, but it makes sense to me. At those pressures any failure happens ridiculously fast.
  14. This is so damn grim, but the memes today are just perfect.
  15. Its probably not a good sign when they are posting images of fruit and sports equipment as a comparison for the hail we could get today. My poor garden
  16. Sadly there are people out there saying that they want them to die. Oh I know. Everything about this craft screams "DO NOT USE", but they still did. Its beyond stupid to get into this thing.
  17. So, few things here. This dive was incredibly stupid. Like, unbelievably so. The glass that they used for the dome was rated to 1500 meters, the Titanic rests at over 4000 meters. The CEO refused to pay the company who makes the glass to create a bubble that is certified to the 4000 meters required to get down to the Titanic safely. This craft also has been lost before. When CBS did a documentary about this the thing went MIA for over 2 hours before. The Coast Gard is reporting that they have heard sounds in the search area that may be coming from the craft. The Navy has also deployed some serious equipment to find this thing. If there is any chance of finding it, our forces will find it. And finally, the amount of people online who are seemingly cheering for the people to die is just sickening.Yea, this was dumb as hell. Doesnt mean people deserve to die over it.
  18. Haha! Yeaaaaa.......I shouldnt laugh. I bought a ton of DLC as well. Thats the entire Paradox business model though. Release a game then DLC it to the end of time. So far the bits that have been confirmed for CS2 make it look like an entirely different game. Theyve confirmed modular/upgradeable buildings like utility and service buildings. Roads are totally redone and now include water and electricity. And the size looks truly impressive. The buildeable area, before mods, is more than double the current CS buildable area.
  19. I absolutely cannot wait for this game. CS is one of my favorite games to play and Ive been wanting a sequel for a while now. The Devs are doing weekly streams where they update a key feature of the game. This week was Roads, and man is it great. It looks like it took all the best parts of the roads mods and incorporated and built onto them.
  20. We've received over 70% of our annual rainfall in the past 2 weeks. So things are super soggy right now. Its drying out and warming up now though.
  21. This is the 10th professional parade in our City history. So thats pretty good. Monfort will never sell the team. He makes too much money off of them. It suckssssss.
  22. I was able to go to the Avs/Mammoth/DU parade last year, but cant make the Nuggs parade this year. Have a work commitment that I cant move But I can record it on TV and watch it later! I have a few coworkers who went down to the parade and are sending pictures. There is A LOT of alcohol and weed. Its amazing. Love this city
  23. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Hell is going to freeze over before that happens. As long as that DICK Monfort owns the team they will never go anywhere. We've had a ton of national championships in the past year. HS Hockey, DU D1 Hockey, Mammoth (NLL), Avs, now Nuggets. Its been absolutely awesome out here for sports. If the Broncos could ever get it together this city might implode from the pure sports joy.
