I don't know that I'd call it escapism. Whether they won legitimately or not doesn't chanfe that it's the same result. One is the death of democracy; the other is misinformation won. However, these aren't mutually exclusive, and evidence of tampering should be taken seriously. The problem is that simply not needing to cheat has never stopped the far right from cheating. We are talking about the team who, in 2020, tried getting fake electoral college papers signed off. It doesn't help that our "lEfT-wInG mEdIa" like CNN (lol) have already buckled to this administration. I'm not all in on the rigged election concept, but I've opened up to it more with the newer information. I doubt anything can be done.
