oh i'm sure. and i guess that's why there was a direct connection between as proper and toonami's ratings, right? i understand that there will always be a drop from comedy to action ratings, however the retention between family guy lead-ins and DBZ hasn't really changed at all. the only thing that has changed is adult swim's total viewership on saturday nights. as comedy and toonami both reflect that, so blaming it on toonami's "poor lineup" is honestly rather silly. (albeit there seem to be a few problems within the block, but hey)

i don't understand how people can expect toonami to achieve the high numbers it used to while adult swim is no longer getting the high numbers it used to. it's almost like there's a connection or something.

that is mere opinion and not fact, my friend. while I do recognize the fact that the manga's progression is laughable, there's still enough story present in the series to enjoy. and yes, shit does get real before the latest chapter of the manga.

we have not reached the point of shit getting real yet.

at the beginning of the series he was perfectly fine with offing any human he pleased. I don't remember if it actually happened or not since its been years since I watched the series, but yaknow.

I've always wondered how both Shippuden and One Piece would preform if they aired dub premiere episodes. it's obviously too late to go down that path now and would probably be too expensive as well, but it begs the question I guess.

I dunno how far you got into Hunter x Hunter but it does have a pretty weak start imo.

yeah I'm a bit of a nutcase. I ended up fairly disappointed because my neighborhood didn't even get a drop of rain but the rest of the town got dumped on with golfball sized hail.

I agree. it's not the best show ever but I always thought it was pretty solid and enjoyable

neat. will be fun to watch again. I remember marathoning the first 8 episodes (that's all that was out at the time) while also following local news broadcasts about whether or not my town would be hit with a tornado. made for a pretty intense experience, and we did have to end up taking cover as well. luckily a tornado never formed, but came pretty close. good times

nah, once the next arc hits the show is less censored and includes but is not limited to [spoiler=vague potential spoilers i guess?]peoples necks being snapped, the floor of an entire room becoming covered with blood, peoples faces being bit off, etc. that's all that comes to mind right now, I'm sure there's more.

the timeslot didn't change until episode 100 if I'm not mistaken, but even before the timeslot change the series does get more graphic through its run.
