I played the last one and haven't played this one but have seen some of the stuff you're talking about. I guess my point is the gameplay was everything in the last one, the story was really bad, so icky fan service or no it wouldn't really matter to me.

Saunders earned my respect, I thought he was a ducker with the inactivity but seeing him last night made me think he had a hiatus for personal reasons (I mean Ward did it too) I know Lemieux wasn't the best test but he boxed so convincingly that he's gotta be in the middleweight convo again, this was Lemieux's worst loss of his career in front of his home fans, even tho GGG stopped him he showed heart in that fight, Saunders demoralized him.

The Eagles won't win not because of lack of Wentz but because of their defense, or more specifically their coordinator. You can't expect to be this gun shy on the blitz and win in the playoffs, the front four aren't going to get pressure consistently unless you help them here and there and in turn keep the offense honest. All the O line is gonna do is double team Fletcher Cox all day and with a weak secondary that's been exposed they're just going to pick them apart. I still give them a shot in the passing game and I know people are high on Wentz (for good reason) but really their receiving options are nuts, Burton has 3 TDs in two games (I think) Ertz is one of the best recieving tight ends in the league, Agholor is super quick with good hands when his head is in it, Smith is still pretty solid and last but not least I'm pretty sure Jeffery would catch a ball thrown into a black hole. I guess my point is the passing game is likely to be far from the issue.

I was disappointed too, I expected it to be closer, I thought Loma would win by late stoppage in a decently tough fight for once. Kinda feel for Rigo there wasn't much he could do, every time he went into his roll Loma was timing it with straights that killed his momentum and he couldn't wrap up without Loma bucking like a bronco in what looked very exhausting. I just think Loma is a martian at this point, making top level fighters look like bums, don't picture him losing to anyone, especially not at 135

I don't know much about Thailand in general or mma but the boxing anime Hajime no Ippo touches on the Thai boxing scene in a few eps during the first season and it doesn't come off as an ideal situation for fighters or just citizens, so it seems like they did a nice job on it.

I don't know much about the fight game outside of our country but that sounds pretty awful... Boxing needs to widen its lens even here tho, I guess Rigondeaux is finally getting a big fight but still.... Naoya Inoue looks ready for a title match but probably won't get one for a couple years, relatively unknown. Alexander Usyk has skills like I've never seen in a natural light heavyweight but everyone wants to talk about Joshua because he's heavyweight champ. There's a lot of talent in boxing right now and I hope they get some light but boxing seems to love shooting itself in the proverbial foot.
