I want to really hammer this one. Who is going to breed the chickens? Farmers? Why would they want to breed chickens? Out of a patriotic duty to the nation of Texas? Nah they need incentive. Which would be subsidies. Which is what the federal government already does. Which is often accused of being socialism. Wow wild. Texas already becoming what it left. How sad. If you're talking about each home having its own chicken, how would that work? Would they have to buy it from a chicken farmer? What if the chicken farms don't want to play ball? They force them? Sounds very authoritarian to me, bud.

Oh yeah, I'm sure they won't miss any of their federal subsidies or all the many many national stores that will pull out so they don't piss off the rest of the country. So smart. So wow.

I do think this sucks for people in red states who don't agree with this nonsense and lack the means to leave. They are suffering because the GOP has manipulated the voting districts and accessible voting for years to maintain a majority. They could suffer because the rest of their state has lost its god damn mind.
