  1. Elon just posted the Twitter source code on GitHub and then hosted a Twitter Space Q&A for how to fix Twitter. Mostly Blue subscribers sucking his dick and Elon not giving very good answers.
  2. WELP. Looks like Elon realized all these news orgs refusing to pay for checkmarks was going to really fuck with the site's legitimacy.
  3. How did Disney do this? They set up something that's been called the "King Charles III clause" that states that Disney will not turn over power until "21 years after the death of the last survivor of Charles III: King of England." So basically after Charles AND his kids die, then they will hand off power. William is in his 30s. We're talking between 60 and 70 years. They completely played DeSantis like a fiddle.
  4. "haha time to shakedown these businesses that desperately need their checkmarks on this website I've broken"
  5. Yeah I think it's more for business reasons than any kind of moral obligation. Capitalism amirite?
  6. Well now I feel gross for all the nendos I have.
  7. I guess he was also lying about $8 per month.
  8. Welp, looks like Midjourney can render hands now. It'll get better at doing more accurate renders over time and will be harder to distinguish from human art. However, it still needs to be regulated and scraping cracked down on. Hopefully, Glaze will help.
  9. Elon is not an exception. They're all like Elon. He's just a lot more open about how stupid he is. And this shows how stupid they all are.
  10. It's okay. The stack is just brittle.
  11. I think it's very easy to talk about the quality now, but this is going to be a much bigger problem when it gets good enough that it's indistinguishable from human art. There needs to be regulations laid out for how this technology can be used. Using it as a tool to bolster a disabled person's work isn't the same as Disney developing in-house tools to keep up with production during an animator strike. It has a lot of potential to be useful, but right now, we need to be wary of these tech bros because they are pushing the most unethical use of the tech to have it replaced actual artistic labor. If we can curb that, then we can have that conversation about using it as an artists tool and not just a replacement for labor.
  12. "why is this such a big deal" It sets a precedent and encourages companies to start supplementing animation with AI tools. This is going to make it a lot tougher to be an animator in the industry https://youtu.be/GOwxXj1EIXM
  13. Figured it was relevant to AI art discourse
  14. Great video about Corridor's attempt to try to set a new standard in using AI art to replace animators.
  15. Studio 4C actually animated it. Same studio that did Summertime Rendering.
