Yeah, that drives me crazy. There's really no good reason for it, other than sheer laziness to not include the option in the menu. I always watch stuff with the subtitles or captions on, even with English language TV shows or movies to be able to follow the dialogue better. I personaly don't have any problem reading and hearing at the same time, so I find it helps me not miss anything being said. With anime it's a little different obviously, but I find it still helps me figure out parts of the dub dialogue that are difficult to make out some times, but I mainly do it to compare the translations. I think dubs for the most part are pretty decent nowadays though at not changing much of anything too drastically, but there's some older ones that were pretty awful. The ones that always leap to my mind are Guin Saga and the second season of Those Who Hunt Elves.

That's exactly what I mean. It's clearly not meant to fix anything. Feels more like what they did to the old forum, where they screwed it up so badly that nobody seemed to care all that much anymore when they finally pulled the plug on it all together.

WTH! I don't follow the schdule and ratings like I used to, so this caught me by total surprise right now when I checked my cable guide. But they Moribitoed MHA! Seriously? I thought this show was the closest thing to mainstream the block had besides DB Super. Unbelievable. On the bright side, I guess I didn't miss the episode like I thought I did, but damn. Thank goodness I've got On Demand. A move like this seriously makes me think they're planning on deep sixing the whole block in the near future. Wouldn't be surpised now if it happens when DB Super is over.

Another holiday, another holiday sale emptying my wallet. Sentai shop again. Prices are only about a dollar or two off from the winter holiday sale on most regular stuff, and quite a bit better actually on a lot of the premium editions. Well, at least this time I pretty much cleared off just about everything they got left that I want from them, so they shouldn't be able to hurt me much for a long while to come. John Wick 3 Parabellum 8/10 Crazy good fight choreography, but at times it did get a bit monotonous. Total body count for this movie has gotta be totally insane, was basically my first thought when the credits started to roll. Looking it up online just now I see I was right. I think the Wick character probably had more kills than words spoken in fact. Might be the only main character in a non-horror movie I can think of that I can say that about. In any case, I look forward to seeing more in part 4.

This season has been awesome. Probably the best one yet. Seems like every season they somehow manage to top the previous one though. But seriously, Lucha Libre, RV road trip, Bollywood musical: I'm not sure how the show can get any better. I can't wait for the season finale tomorrow night.

Avengers Endgame 6/10 Finally got around to seeing it. I wanted to go see it opening weekend of course, but right before I had a medical issue with my hearing (one of my ears went temporarily deaf due to a virus apparently) and it only recently got better. Wish I could say it was totally worth the wait, but I was actually pretty disappointed, particulary though with the ending.

Yeah, well most of the players who were left seemed pretty stupid, too. Or at least they seemed pretty incapable of catching them, let's just put it that way. I would think if they actually caught them anyway and ate them they would have mentioned it, and not have gotten so upset about not getting food rewards or been arguing about how much rice to portion out either. And Rick has to come back. I mean, unless he doesn't want to, but I'm sure they'll ask him back in the near future. For season 40 in particular I expect they'll be looking to bring back a lot of old players, since it'll be a big milestone for the show making it to a full 20 years.

Just check, and it's f'ed up the same way On Demand, too. Guess I gotta go and watch the second half on Crunchyroll.

Do they not have dice in Japan anywhere else? Or is he having him turned into a die so he can rig the game? Must be right?

I thought something strange was going on. For a moment I imagined the A.I. from the show came alive and in its first step decided to eat Toonami, before going on to consume all of the internet, create a robot army, and finally enslave all of mankind. Sigh. Too bad it was just technical difficulties. Well, there's always tomorrow.

I hope not. That looks awesome. Got to be better than Batman Ninja anyway.

Captain Marvel 9/10 Had a few surprises that I really enjoyed. Also, liked the nostalgia kick of it being set during the 90s. Marvel keeping it hot. Now I'm all set and ready for Endgame next month.

Looks like it's probably Majokko Tickle/Magical Girl Tickle for me. "On Chiiko's 11th birthday, her father gives her a special book. Inside the book is a trapped witch, Majokko Tickle. When Chiiko frees Tickle from the book, she uses her magic to pass off as Chiiko's twin sister. " Always wished I had a sister, or any sibling for that matter, but yeah my life is nothing like a mahou shoujou, so I hereby declare this ridiculous form of divination a failure.

New on order: Ai Tenchi Muyo, In Another World With My Smartphone LE, Land of the Lustrous steelbook, RE:Zero season 1 part 1 LE Right Stuf has Land of the Lustrous as a daily deal, so... sigh. I couldn't resist making an order, as I want to make sure I get the steelbook before it sells out. Noticed they have some pretty decent prices going on some FUNi stuff right now, too, making for the perfect storm-ing of my wallet once more.

Battle Angel Alita 8/10 That was pretty good. If there's a glaring problem it has, it's that it ends screaming for a sequel and it's far from guarunteed there'll ever be one, given the huge budget that it seems it's going to have a really hard time ever recouping (even with the benefit of it having had a slightly better than expected opening weeked).
