They'll need to allow female rakugo performers eventually, I just wonder if Konatsu will be the one to break that barrier, making this the prequel to Joshiraku. It's definitely cute how bashful is around Yota, and that big grin of his is infectious. I do wonder if Kiku intentionally narrowed the world of Rakugo in order to distill it and prepare it to survive a new era, or if he really did want to kill it, but had a momentary lapse when meeting Yota.

That's not entirely accurate, actually. Sayo Yamamoto directed both, but didn't write Michiko & Hatchin; she did some of the storyboarding, though. Yamamoto also did series composition for YoI, but Mitsurou Kubo, a manga artist with a limited resume, pretty much laid out the entire series in comic format, so had a strong hand in how the story developed.

I didn't say that. ...I liked some of the fight choreography. Also, going back to MAL would be difficult at this point.

But I like how simple it is to use. I finished the Chain Chronicle movie (which is apparently also the first 4 episodes), and that was enough of that.

But I don't know how to report stuff is incorrect now that Hummingbird moved to Kitsu, and I'm stuck at 13 episodes there! Also watched the first episode of Ai Mai Mi S3, and it's still the perfect short. Also also got halfway through the first half of the Chain Chronicle movie, and... it's got some nice fight choreography? That's about it.

They aren't, though. Grand Order already aired, Heaven's Feel will premiere sometime during the year, Apocrypha might be a spring or summer show, and Extra Last Encore will be a winter 2018 show.

That sounds like it's probably just a difference in source materials, more than anything.

Grand Order was a special advertising the mobile game, and Heaven's Feel was announced ages ago and finally adapts the third arc of the Fate/stay night VN. I don't have any excuses for the other 2, except money.
