In the case of Tokyo Ghoul if Toonami had acquired it in 2015 it may have been considered a top anime grab. However grabbing it in 2017 doesn't exactly result in the same type of term being thrown out at all. I guess Toonami didn't have the means in their budget or any openings back then for it, and this is where I agree that it does seem a bit weird that it has remained a top requested show for Toonami all this time

If this theory honestly turned out to be wrong, then it certainly would seem that someone still thinks that strong premiere ratings equals strong same slot rerun ratings
