  3. I watched 1-5 over and over and over again this week and it sure cleared things up!
  4. So yes, they're helpful. More helpful than Bleach recaps even though they're actually the same guy, amirite?
  5. Do ya'll think these recaps are helpful?
  6. Oh, I get it; he really doesn't have much of one anymore!
  7. Von Stroheim is back AND he's mechanical, just like the Major from Hellsing!

  10. Episode #8: "Laplace, Where It All Began" OP: "Into The Sky" by Tielle ED: "Next 2U -eUC-" by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:naNami Get ready to hurt yourself with knives and get ur Gundam Unicorn on! Tomorrow nite (2/25/17) at 1 AM! Only Toonami!
  11. You've pretty much got one chance left to catch these 5 episodes again, coming up just after 4:30 PM. Episode 4, which will also be streaming all weekend as part of 1/28/17's Toonami block, is on there right now.
  12. 1. Maybe you should've! :fap: ::spin:: :fap: 2. I'm still counting on that to replace JoJo, but move up to 11:30, so the DB Hour would slide down to midnight. But I'm not sure how well new Lupin III Part 4 would do at 11 PM after Family Guy. Seems like more of a 12:30 series to me, so there's that. Plus, it might take a little time for AOT S2 so that would mean 11 PM on May 20th. The safest schedule changes are probably ones that don't move shows around, but AOT is less hot on May 20th than it would be on April 29th with a simul-dub, but only JUST. Leaving the DBZ Hour alone, debuting something like Lupin III Part 4 instead (unless JoJo just keeps going, but I kinda doubt it will), and giving Attack on Titan Jack's timeslot would seem to be the best policy. It'd still be a 7-week old simuldub of a super popular series, and deserving of a better timeslot than its 13-month old (at the time) predecessor. But people will cry "WHY NOT ATTACK ON TITAN!?" even if both timeslots are announced simultaneously. You just can't win!
  13. Off-topic, but I dig me some Keith Ellison! This guy will give Bernie Sanders a fair shot in 2020, though he'll probably have to be on life-support by then. Maybe he'll be VP to a young leader who shares his views instead, but under that scenario, people might want to assassinate the young'un just to get Bernie to the presidency! Jack is coming back to Make Toonami Great Again! Hell, Donald Trump is a lot like Aku when you think about it!
  14. Crazy crackpot theory: Toonami has its clandestine dub on lockdown, waiting in the wings to replace Samurai Jack S5 on June 3rd. [nope prolly gonna be Lupin]
  15. Isn't V the same as Turn A? Also, they're not getting Unicorn anytime soon...
  16. Let's get back to the damn RATINGS, shall we?? Umm, no. Toonami is in no danger whatsoever of cancellation, even though it's seen better days. What the hell would they replace it with? Note the ratings of FAMILY GUY at 11 PM: TOTAL VIEWERS RETENTION 8:00 PM Dragon Ball Super 938,000 8:30 PM Samurai Jack 634,000 (67.59%) 11:00 PM Family Guy 1,427,000 11:30 PM Dragon Ball Super 1,140,000 (79.89%) 12:00 AM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 1,003,000 (87.98%) 12:30 AM JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 769,000 (76.67%) 1:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 618,000 (80.36%) 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter 625,000 (101.13%) 2:00 AM Naruto: Shippuden 621,000 (99.36%) 2:30 AM One Piece 525,000 (84.54%) 3:00 AM Ghost In The Shell 453,000 (86.29%) TOTAL VIEWERS AVERAGE - 719,250 Yep, not even 1.5 million for FAMILY GUY. But if you ask me, JoJo had no business being at 12:30, at least not until we get to more of the stuff that JoJo is known for (and if you ask me, that oughta maybe have an even better timeslot than 12:30). But that doesn't change the fact that it's been an utter disappointment in a timeslot in which KILL la KILL, Akame ga KILL, and hell, even Dimension W THRIVED. So JoJo is the chump but Hunter x Hunter is the champ when it comes to retention, and it's the same story with 18-49s: ADULTS 18-49 RETENTION 8:00 PM Dragon Ball Super 444,000 0.35 8:30 PM Samurai Jack 308,000 (69.37%) 0.24 11:00 PM Family Guy 825,000 0.64 11:30 PM Dragon Ball Super 716,000 (86.79%) 0.56 12:00 AM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 634,000 (88.55%) 0.49 12:30 AM JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 480,000 (75.71%) 0.37 1:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 401,000 (83.54%) 0.31 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter 424,000 (105.74%) 0.33 2:00 AM Naruto: Shippuden 402,000 (94.81%) 0.31 2:30 AM One Piece 342,000 (85.07%) 0.27 3:00 AM One-Punch Man 291,000 (85.09%) 0.23 ADULTS 18-49 TOONAMI AVERAGE - 461,250 Hunter × Hunter's gain is even more pronounced, and JoJo's loss slightly more pronounced. Also, it's confirmed that both Hunter × Hunter and Naruto Shippuden beat Gundam in both total viewers and adults 18-49. Last but not least, current show averages, with some errors from last time corrected! CURRENT SHOW AVERAGES Total Viewers Dragon Ball Super (8 PM) - 906,000 (7 episodes) Samurai Jack Rerun (8:30 PM) - 650,667 (6 episodes) Dragon Ball Super (11:30 PM) - 1,208,429 (7 episodes) Dragon Ball Z Kai: Final Chapters - 1,080,000 (7 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 936,059 (17 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - 741,571 (7 episodes) Hunter × Hunter - 863,128 (39 episodes) Naruto: Shippuden - 876,887 (146 episodes) One Piece - 791,782 (174 episodes) Ghost In The Shell HD - 494,667 (3 episodes) Adults 18-49 Dragon Ball Super (8 PM, Estimate) - 431,143 (7 episodes) Samurai Jack Rerun (8:30, Estimate) - 308,833 (6 episodes) Dragon Ball Super (11:30 PM) - 733,143 (7 episodes) Dragon Ball Z Kai: Final Chapters - 647,429 (7 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 565,647 (17 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - 446,571 (7 episodes) Hunter × Hunter - 509,538 (39 episodes) Naruto: Shippuden - 485,160 (129 episodes) One Piece - 430,860 (129 episodes) Ghost In The Shell HD - 319,000 (3 episodes) Adults 18-34 (Estimated) Dragon Ball Super (8 PM) - 291,167 (6 episodes) Dragon Ball Z Kai: Final Chapters - 445,571 (7 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 381,882 (17 episodes) Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - 311,429 (7 episodes) I still have faith in Samurai Jack. It's a super-hyped World Premiere that will put Space Dandy to shame. I daresay we'll see gains in every timeslot of 100K-200K total viewers and 50K-100K adults 18-49 once Jack hits the scene. Also, that 8:30 PM old-school Samurai Jack rerun is a ratings vacuum that later shows never seem to recover from, but I believe we'll see a change there too. Either it goes back to comedy and the current 5 shows slide down, or it will become a rerun of the previous week's premiere beginning on March 18th. There's no way in hell they'll leave it Classic Jack when Brand-Spankin' New Jack hits the scene! http://programminginsider.com/ratings/final-nationals/saturday-final-nationals-nba-star-saturday-night-tnt-draws-slight-increase-one-year-prior/
  17. I think it's clear that trending matters a bit more than ratings at this point, and while ratings have been 2014-ish levels of suck, trending has been absolutely stellar! That being said, I have faith that Samurai Jack's 11 PM hype will turn things around back to 2015-ish levels for a couple of months at least. Oh, and UPDATE: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-2-18-2017.html Yep, Hunter × Hunter and Naruto Shippuden either outrated or tied Gundam Unicorn. Given how awesome Unicorn is, that makes me cry a little inside!
  18. Well... 2/18/2017 Dragon Ball Super (8 PM) - #15 Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.41 Estimated 18-34 - 279,000 ( 29.74% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.35 Estimated 18-49 - 449,000 ( 47.87% ) Total Viewers - 938,000 2/18/2017 DBZ Kai: Final Chapters - #6 Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.64 Estimated 18-34 - 435,000 ( 43.37% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.49 Estimated 18-49 - 628,000 ( 62.61% ) Total Viewers - 1,003,000 2/18/2017 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - #13 Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.5 Estimated 18-34 - 340,000 ( 44.21% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.37 Estimated 18-49 - 474,000 ( 61.64% ) Total Viewers - 769,000 2/18/2017 Gundam Unicorn - #21 Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.42 Estimated 18-34 - 285,000 ( 46.12% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.31 Estimated 18-49 - 397,000 ( 64.24% ) Total Viewers - 618,000 DBS premiere actually did pretty good, but as for Toonami...
  19. Don't know if that means it has a 1-year deal with Adult Swim or what, but it does mean soon you'll be able to watch it in other places besides AS. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-02-22/crunchyroll-streams-gundam-iron-blooded-orphans-with-english-dub/.112547
  20. Well, because President's Day holiday was yesterday, looks like we may not find out until tomorrow! And that was true, but what's also true is that trending rocked again this past weekend! http://toonamifaithful.com/toonami-trending-rundown-for-february-18-19-2017/ United States Trends: Toonami/#Toonami [#2] #DragonBallSuper (Also during the primetime presentation) [#1] #SamuraiJack [#6] #DBZKai [#1] #JoJosBizarreAdventure [#1] #GundamUnicorn [#1] #HunterXHunter [#1] #Shippuden [#1] #OnePiece [#1] #GhostInTheShell [#1] Worldwide Trends: #DragonBallSuper [#9] #DBZKai [#9] #JoJosBizarreAdventure [#9] #GundamUnicorn [#8] #HunterXHunter [#8] #Shippuden [#8] #OnePiece [#8] #GhostInTheShell [#8] Tweet Counts: #Toonami [3,989 tweets] #DragonBallSuper [5,674 tweets] Bulma (From Dragon Ball Super) [2,554 tweets] #DBZKai [1,834 tweets] #JoJosBizarreAdventure [2,086 tweets] #HunterXHunter [1,966 tweets] #OnePiece [5,920 tweets] Yes, the One Piece character trend streak is over, but EVERY SHOW trended WORLDWIDE. Not sure if that's EVER happened before!
  21. To be fair, it's been a LOT less problematic since they cut down the load to 5 episodes. When it first began, it used to play through a whole 2-cour series in a week, but was fraught with problems. It does make no sense though that the 5 episodes play TWICE through between Pre-Flights, especially since they just reset from the 5th to the 1st with no frame of reference. If you don't already know the series, it can be rather daunting. They really should produce a title card for them that says what show you're watching and which episodes at least. Maybe even get Steve to say something and air it once during the Toonami block as well. Until then, the stream is pretty much useful only for rewatches anyway, at least for shows that don't include an episode number in the title card, which is the case for all shows on the lineup right now except JoJo!
  22. This one is kind of an odd one, as the app currently shows a pic for Iron-Blooded Orphans. But it is indeed actually... Hopefully they get that straightened up soon! Looks like it's going to be 1-5 all week as we're only up to Episode 7 on Toonami TV. So if you don't have cable and are a Gundam fan, or know someone who doesn't or can't watch Toonami TV and is a Gundam fan, tell them to hit up adultswim.com/videos/streams/toonami this week through Friday at 6:30! I'm pretty sure they won't be disappointed! EDIT: Gundam Unicorn's presence on stream to date: February 20-24, 2017 (Episodes 1-5) March 8?-10, 2017 (Episodes 1-5) May 8-12 (Episodes 6-10, 11-15)
  23. Plus, maybe they don't have Domino's Pizza in Japan?? Anyway, great episode. I still don't understand how in the hell the Unicorn was able to turn Marida's laser-shooting funnels against her. Gonna have to rewatch to figure that one out!
