Maybe they were able to get the streaming rights but not TV rights? At any rate, it IS the OLD tapes so I don't really know what's going on here! But just glad we're able to see these classic episodes again as one hell of a great surprise!

Haven't seen The Big O in a while? Well Toonami feels your pain! So at about 1:20 this afternoon, they started streaming it for free! They're going DEEP for this one, all the way to Episodes 1-5, of SEASON 1, which we haven't been able to see for free for like 8 years! Sure, it's in standard definition, but the music and vocals are just as awesome and classic as ever!

4 AM. They play a different Williams Stream edit every weeknight, and Toonami Pre-Flight usually gets Friday nights.

There were LOTS of gems in this lineup. Here's how I rank it: #10: Shippuden - Thank GOODNESS this filler is over! #9: Sand Whale And Me - Healing spray IS pretty original! #8: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Krillin makes short work of Pinar and Piccolo forfeits his match #7: Dragon Ball Super - A battle so colossal it nearly trashes the universe! #6: Tokyo Ghoul - A rather intriguing episode to kick off the show! #5: Ghost In The Shell - The Rootin' Tootin' man in a can plus the Major's "Scared Straight" Program #4: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - JoJo vs. Wamuu in a Chariot Race to the death, filled with all sorts of tricks as JoJo gets the upper hand. #3: Gundam Unicorn - The Battle At Torrington comes to an explosive climax as Banager learns some people are beyond saving. #2: Hunter x Hunter - In this action-packed episode, Uvogin is more than the Shadow Beasts can handle, but Kurapika soon chains him up and reveals his deadly contract! #1: Samurai Jack - A story of recovery for Jack, followed by the climactic showdown with the daughters of Aku, and ending in that double-cliffhanger!

The funny thing is the captions spelled it "Beevis!" But I seriously laughed my ass off at that ridiculous crap!

Dammit, now that Samurai Jack and Dragonball Super are thematically different, Toonami has really dropped the ball on providing them new bumpers! But perhaps next week? I hope we're not stuck with these same bumpers until June!

Is that a Gorillaz crossover?? Would be timely since their new album drops this Friday! I sure hope Toonami gets the new animated Gorillaz series next year! Anyway, I just watched it, and in the words of Scaramouche, "That episode was A-MA-ZING, babe!"

Almost time for the best latest premiere on the block!

The deck is REALLY stacked against Toonami tonight. It's up against a boxing match, a UFC PPV, and not one but TWO NBA Playoff games! Hopefully Attack On Titan's Season 2 premiere managed to lift its ratings out of the gutter, but I guess we'll find out Tuesday morning! Here's my "realistic" prediction: Show: Total Viewers/Adults 18-49/Adults 18-34 DBS 8 PM: ~800K/450K/250K Samurai Jack: ~1.2M/800K/600K Dragon Ball Super: ~1.0M/700K/NA Dragon Ball Kai FC: ~900K/600K/450K Attack on Titan: ~1.0M/700K/500K Tokyo Ghoul: ~900K/600K/400K Hunter x Hunter: ~800K/500K/NA Gundam Unicorn: ~700K/450K/300K Shippuden: ~650K/400K/NA Ghost In The Shell: ~600K/350K/NA I.e.: I believe AOT will produce a modest gain over DBZ Kai, just as OPM gained modestly from it last year.

The Tron-ish ID AGAIN!? It's cool, but it's gonna get old at this rate...
