Well darn. Somehow this slipped my mind. And it's my birthday. Well, whatever.

WELL, to be fair, I just rewatched Episode #44, and it DID kind of hint at that possible outcome. At the end of this episode (#45), Shino failed in his mission to take out Rustal and show Tekkadan and Gundam Bael's power to Gjallarhorn. McGillis' motivation in doing that was to convince the rest of Gjallarhorn to come off the sideline of neutrality and to obey him, Agnika Kaieru, and Bael. But assuming that doesn't work, McGillis may just have to go for broke and bring about the "old order" by somehow setting up an awakening of the Mobile Armors on Earth and using Bael (and Tekkadan's Gundams) to protect Earth from the newly awakened overwhelming threat! But I guess we'll find out which direction this will go in in just 5 episodes! For the sake of this series I kinda hope the April Fool's Day stunt waits until 1 AM!

I'm less interested in LBGTQ implications than I am the fact that this would seem to mark Toonami's return to "girl power" shows with strong female protagonists outside of Ghost In The Shell. One could argue it was mostly a boys' club in 2016 and 2017, though AOT and IBO had some strong female supporting characters. FLCL 2/3 seem like they will "lean female" and maybe if we get Re:Zero or Sailor Moon Crystal to go along with that, the "girl power" sub-block might return!

No freaking way that's gonna be a simul-dub, and certainly NOT on 4/7! Now could we see it this summer or fall? Hell yeah!

On SUNDAY night? That would certainly be interesting, but I don't see that coming. So far the only action animation to air in that timeslot is Season 5 of Samurai Jack!

I think there is supposed to be an IBO movie. If the rest of the series doesn't have more Mobile Armors running amok on Earth and taking out massive buttloads of people, there's always room for that in the movie!

Hmmm, seems I spoke too soon. Black Clover is streaming this week, but we're back down to 5 episodes. This week it's Pages 6-10, so turn down the volume and enjoy!

Except, of course, for the fact that Mobile Armors CAN use beam weapons. I wonder if there will be any more of those awakening in this show's final 5 episodes?

I guess they could just finish off Kai at Midnight. I honestly hadn't thought of that. I guess it also depends on if they desire to keep JoJo at Midnight. If so, then that means Black Clover could fall to 12:30 if no expansion. But to be fair, we don't even know for sure if JoJo will still be at Midnight in April once Cowboy Bebop ends! Unless the new show is a 1:30 show, I don't see how it can be! I'm assuming one of the new shows is truly new and the other is a classic. It would be kinda neat, for instance, if they did this, assuming Re:Zero IS one of the new shows: April 7: 10:30 DBS; 11 DBZK; 11:30 Re:Zero hour-long special; 12:30 JoJo; 1 Gundam; 1:30 HxH; 2 Shippuden; 2:30 Classic; 3 Dandy 3:30 GITS April 14: Same, but Black Clover returns at either 11:30 or Midnight and Re:Zero goes back to 30 minutes. Hey, it's not like Tokyo Ghoul didn't take a break when JoJo was doubled-up last year so we could get to AOT S2 faster!

I'm counting on this schedule to be a red herring beyond Black Clover or MAAAAAYBE JoJo just to keep Part 1 and Part 2 from airing 2 weeks apart. Besides, a prank starting at 12:30 instead of Midnight would be an interesting twist! http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimdynsched/asXml/31.EST.xml

I believe Black Clover will be moving UP to 11 following the DBZ hour at 10 and 10:30, and something else will take Kai's spot in late June or early July.

Well, that's interesting. I would definitely say that Re:Zero would be a welcome move away from Shonen, if it happens to be one of the April 7th premieres. I'm thinking this doesn't mean we won't see Tokyo Ghoul Re: either. But I wonder what else this could mean??

Really? We DO have one more episode of filler left? I thought it was 20, not 21. According to my DVR, we're up to Episode 21 of Season 9. Season 9 began with this crappy filler. It's about Tsunade separating Naruto and Sasuke, so it sounds like it could either be canonical or filler as hell. I'm expecting everything but the Dragon Balls and Black Clover to be taken over with April Fool's Day shenanigans on March 31/April 1, so if what you say is true, it will be April 7th when we get back to Canon. Hmmmm...

So that's the full version? 9-1/2 minutes long!? Good grief; it's longer than Roundabout! EDIT: No, wait, it's only 5 minutes 41 seconds long, a Wikipedia search revealed. Still, it might be really cool if it moved around to different parts of the song like with Roundabout. And I hope they also use a long song like that for Part 5: Golden Wind and use different parts based on the mood like they did with Roundabout! But as for the last part of this episode, man that was a hilarious comedy of errors! And it was all set off by that canine "deus ex machina" Iggy!
