What if the April Fool's Day stunt on Toonami was to air the final episode of DBS at Midnight on 4/1 either with subtitles or with a ridiculously speedy dub? NO ONE would see that shit coming! (Well, except me and you guys...)

If they wanted to do this March 17th marathon deal right, they should have just given Dandy a rest and finished off Outlaw Star with 2 back-to-back episodes last week. But Episode 7, which easily could have been delayed to my birthday (March 24th) aired instead, and now we just might get the last 2 episodes of Outlaw Star separated by 2 weeks! For FLCL2 Episode 1 to air at Midnight instead of JoJo would be interesting, but you wouldn't just play THAT until 4 AM, would you? When DBS gets to a certain point, you'll see my posting reviews for that as well, as well as for whatever newer or simul-dub shows since ANN started doing episode reviews. Also, next week's BC will actually be the first time a show produced in 2018 airs on Toonami, which will be 6 days later than in 2017 (Samurai Jack, 3/11/17) and a whopping 18 days later than in 2016 (Dimension W, 2/27/16). However, it would be 2016 until a show produced in 2015 would air on Toonami (the back half of Parasyte), while 2014 is the undeniable king of fastest same-year airings, with Space Dandy premiering on 1/4/14!

Actually, it hasn't happened since 2014. In 2013 and 2014, Toonami went until 6 AM so something HAD to be cut. It was the 2 AM hour in 2013, but I believe it was the 3 AM hour in 2014. However, in 2015 through this year, Toonami no longer went until 6 AM, so there was no need to cut anything out. Incidentally, Toonami grew by an hour in 2012-2015 and a full 2 hours in 2016 (to air the movie Children Who Chase Lost Voices) when DST ended, but was unchanged in 2017 as the bonus hour was instead given to the Aqua Teen movie, which aired after Toonami.
