  1. So better or worse than Black Clover?
  2. Or maybe nervous about Chi-Chi's driving?
  3. Cray cray theory here--but what if there IS no Beerus in the future? I mean, Zamasu IS a Supreme Kai, so he obviously knew about the other Supreme Kais, including Shin, and it has already been established that by eliminating Shin, you would eliminate Beerus, as they work kinda like Piccolo and Kami. So here's my theory: Future Trunks doesn't have a Beerus because Zamasu already took out Shin in his timeline!
  4. ONLY if you're looking at total viewers. Super actually kicked FG's butt once again in all the major demos, which is FAR more important! Besides, this is actually the first time since 3/31 that DBS failed to get over a million total viewers, and only the 5th time since the current arc began; 9 times it has exceeded that benchmark!
  5. Is it just me, or does anyone else want this to go in the opposite direction: animated versions of popular live action HBO shows on Toonami, not live-action versions of Toonami shows on HBO!
  6. I can hardly believe no one has even mentioned Sci-Fi's Ani-Mondays. That 2-hour block aired relatively consistently from 11 PM-1 AM on Monday nights, began in June 2007, and lasted for over 3.5 years before moving to Tuesday nights to begin 2011, then switched randomly to Thursday nights in March, then finally aired at 1 AM for like a month before finally getting cancelled in June 2011. It was during the "dark" days that Toonami on CN got cancelled, and [as] stripped their anime offerings down to just 4 shows on Saturdays and 5:30 AM Inuyasha, that Sci-Fi Ani-Mondays hit arguably their highest point by acquiring Gurren Lagann! Other notable shows that aired on the block were Gundam 00 and Monster.
  7. I'm telling y'all--we're totally getting Thunderbolt in October to close out 2018! Well, either that, or the sequel to Gundam Unicorn, Gundam Narrative! Oh, look... http://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-espn-doubles-the-adults-18-49-of-its-closest-network-competition-and-wins-prime-time-demos/ Family Guy (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) – 1.009 million viewers (#21) – 0.65 HH (#23) – 0.43 A18-49 (#11) – 0.51 A18-34 (#4) – 0.37 A25-54 (#17) Dragon Ball Super (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) – 0.953 million viewers (#32) – 0.62 HH (#26) – 0.45 A18-49 (#9) – 0.59 A18-34 (#3) – 0.39 A25-54 (#16) PROGRAM Viewers (000) A1849 rating A1849 (000) 10:30 Dragon Ball Super 953 0.45 585 11:00 Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters 790 0.38 486 11:30 Fooly Cooly (r) 579 0.27 354 12:00a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 512 0.24 308 12:30a Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 472 0.23 293 1:00a Black Clover 452 0.22 288 1:30a Hunter X Hunter (r) 415 0.20 255 2:00a Naruto: Shippuden (r) 398 0.19 243 2:30a Space Dandy (r) 341 0.16 202 3:00a Cowboy Bebop (r) 333 0.15 198 3:30a Ghost In Shell: 2nd Gig (r) 323 0.16 203 4/21/18 - Adults 18-49 Show Total Viewers Adults 18-49 DBS 585,000 105.98% DBZKFC 486,000 83.08% FLCL 354,000 72.84% JoJo 308,000 87.01% Gundam 293,000 95.13% BClover 288,000 98.29% HxH 255,000 88.54% Shippuden 243,000 95.29% Dandy 202,000 83.13% Bebop 198,000 98.02% GITS 203,000 102.53% Average in Adults 18-49: 310,455. That's 11th out of 16 so far for the year. And once again, Dragon Ball Super won the night on [as] in 18-49, 18-34, and 25-54! Third in 18-34 behind only two NBA games. Next week, with no NBA playoffs on TV, it just might capture #1 18-34!
  8. SHOWBUZZDAILY updated; here is the result: "The Adult Swim late-night line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.45/0.38 compared to last week’s 0.47/0.34, FOOLY COOLY steady at 0.27/579K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE up a tick to 0.24, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM up 0.03 to 0.23, BLACK CLOVER up 0.04 to 0.22, HUNTER X HUNTER up 0.02 to 0.20/415K, NARUTO up 0.02 to 0.19/398K, SPACE DANDY down 0.01 to 0.16/341K, COWBOY BEBOP down 0.01 to 0.15/333K, and GHOST IN THE MACHINE steady at 0.16/323K." Wait, what? Ghost In The Machine on Toonami?? They play one movie, and then THIS happens... That bit of silliness aside, the average was back over 500K, 506,182, as a matter of fact, which is 12th out of 16 weeks so far in 2018. And total viewers retention went down like this: 4/21/18 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention DBS 953,000 94.4% DBZKFC 790,000 82.9% FLCL 579,000 73.3% JoJo 512,000 88.4% Gundam 472,000 92.2% BClover 452,000 95.8% HxH 415,000 91.8% Shippuden 398,000 95.9% Dandy 341,000 85.7% Bebop 333,000 97.7% GITS 323,000 97.0% FLCL reruns clearly don't belong at 11:30; fortunately we've got the hero we need but don't deserve coming to save us in 2 weeks!
  9. This feels, in a lot of ways, like the next-to-last ratings report of an era: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-4-21-2018.html Dragon Ball Super was a more talky less action-y episode than usual, so it was also lower than usual this week, but many other shows were way up, and Black Clover is back in the Top 50, and in fact just barely missed the Top 25 for the night in 18-49. As for retention, well, maybe we're being a bit hasty to kick Black Clover down to 1:30, and here's why... Such could be expected occasionally from a show that came out this year over one that came out last year (in Japan), I suppose. But what about a show that came out (in Japan) in 2013, Hunter x Hunter, which will be slotted ahead of it come May? Perhaps [as] is trying to make the 1:30 bump that they see other nights of the week with Bob's Burgers a thing on Saturday nights, and I suppose using the show with newest animation back-to-back with one of the ol' Big 3 is not a bad way to go about it! *Represents a non-back-to-back retention (DBZKFC -> FLCL -> JoJo)
  10. THIS JUST IN!! DBS keeps its impressive Live+3 Top 25 18-49 streak going for a 3rd week! http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-april-9-15-2018/ Apparently, this arc of DBS has captivated [as] target audience to make it consistently among the most-watched cable shows OF THE WHOLE WEEK!!
  11. So we did indeed get the next 5 episodes of Shippuden over the weekend and on Monday, but now we've moved on to Space Dandy! And yes, unlike the broadcast, they ARE playing "Viva Namida" at the beginning of most episodes!
  12. With the title "Assembly at Royal Capital" for next week's episode, I can't help but have a feeling Pecker a.k.a. Nero will appear at some point in the episode!
  13. Wow. Ummm, slight change of subject: do y'all think MHA is big enough to get weekly topicals? It would probably be the first time a show that is available online ever got them if so...
  14. Impressions of the latest episode, #5: This episode makes me REALLY glad Smell-O-Vision hasn't been invented yet. The descriptions of the stink were just insane. Episode #6 contained a pretty cool swordfight, and an interesting twist because Gaz called her ex crazy, but guess who REALLY turned out to be crazy???
  15. So here's my scorecard:SUPER Psyched My Hero AcademiaWill Confuse People (Re:Zero? Star Blazers?? PTE???)Right-In-The-Pocket (AoTS3? Boruto?? G Gundam???)
  16. I once dated a girl who didn't want to kiss me, but didn't mind "other stuff". She also wouldn't go all the way, however, so it was really, really weird. But this brings me to my theory behind how Goku can possibly not know what a kiss is, but have married and have children with Chi-Chi. Their love language is different from the norm--it's not kissing--it's fighting. That's how they fell in love and decided to get married. Neither one of them cared about kissing (well, Goku was naïve to it), so they just didn't kiss. But then Chi-chi wanted children, so she basically probably had to sort of force herself on Goku's erect pee-pee while he was sleeping with morning wood to get the job done. But either Goku was such a heavy sleeper he never woke up in the middle of the baby-making, or he did wake up only to find his beautiful wife giving him the best pleasure of his life and also saw that she was enjoying it so much he never questioned or new anything about the lack of kissing. This of course is completely foreign to Vegeta and Bulma, who probably suck face every chance they get. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into what is essentially just a silly gag on Toriyama and Toei's part??
  17. We're talking about a show with multiple timelines and multiple outcomes. I'm not even sure the "canon or not" argument WORKS in the Dragonball-multiverse!
  18. Now that's a good question. I guess not. Her vagina would still be virginal as a matter of fact, since it got discarded with the rest of her body. Wouldn't quite be the same thing indeed! Well, I've reached my limit, folks. Good night, everyone!
  19. I'm not sure how it's relevant in the next 4 episodes. If I had to guess, Motoko was indeed a virgin prior to cyberization. But she has since "lost" hers. I wonder what the consequence of "Red Data Boy" getting to do her might have been?
  20. Possibly less surprising than Uncle Fester being a virgin in Adams Family Values, though to be fair by the end of the movie, that DID change!
  21. I don't even understand why that would be the case. Somehow being deflowered prior to cyberization would make that much of a difference!?
  22. You may also know her as Carta Issue from Gundam IBO and Satsuki Kiryuin from Kill la Kill. So what actually happened last week was we had a KLK leads reunion, with both of them playing naked characters again! Oh look: the "LATER" GIF is actually from JoJo this week!
  23. I wonder if Anne had an unfortunate run-in with this stand? What if she isn't really 11...???
