Dragon Ball Super Episode 76 Discussion
OwlChemist81 replied to Meilag32's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Ok, this is just too hax! Where is the moon when you need it!?! -
Well even if they don't, it's just another 12 weeks and they can put it back on! And maybe not even that long. They can always move it to 2:30 AM once OPM finishes and put Bebop back on at 3!

My Hero Academia Marathon on September 1st!

Wait, so you're telling me AOT Season 3 is airing on Japan's PBS!? So this is seriously like if a show was on corporate TV for its first 2 seasons, then moved to a government-sponsored channel!? Then again, our PBS shows CAN be big; there WAS Downton Abbey... -
I don't think it's happening anytime soon. I think we'll most likely see a 3:30 AM PTE rerun before we get a new comedy show sometime in '19. PTE will be replaced (in its current timeslot) by Boruto.

Depends which metric you're talking about. If we're talking total viewers, then yes. If we're talking Adults 18-49, then no. Last week so far has averaged a 0.165, and every show beat that last week but Bebop. Even Thursday's high of 0.18 only beats the reruns after Shippuden!

I thought about posting this in anime and manga, but since it's Star Wars, I posted here instead. https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/watch-the-soaring-new-trailer-for-the-star-wars-resistance-animated-series/ar-BBM3BPP?ocid=spartandhp 10 PM on Sunday nights--pretty good timeslot! Maybe they'll even put it back-to-back with that old Tron: Uprising series, dragging THAT out of the vault!

HEY, THAT'S PRETTY GOOD!!! http://programminginsider.com/wednesday-final-ratings-black-ink-chicago-on-vh1-is-cables-top-prime-time-telecast-among-adults-18-49/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.454 million viewers (#81) • 0.29 HH (#79) • 0.18 A18-49 (#59) • 0.21 A18-34 (#27) • 0.16 A25-54 (#77) American Dad (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.492 million viewers (#78) • 0.32 HH (#75) • 0.22 A18-49 (#38) • 0.20 A18-34 (#30) • 0.20 A25-54 (#58) Keep it up, DBS!! Over 450K AND you knocked off American Dad in 18-34!

It seems to me that the two shows could work well together, especially if they're looking to get more mileage out of the early episodes of JJBA. I'd say either VB 12 AM and JoJo 12:30 or VB 12:30 and JoJo 1 AM, and of course, AFTER Season 7 ends its Sunday premiere run. Maybe run Season 7 back-to-back with Phantom Blood, then start VB over alongside Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders? Suggesting such craziness once seemed ridiculous, but now that Dragon Ball Super airs on weeknights, I'd say anything's possible! In the meantime, I guess you can sorta experience what it might be like by watching Season 7 threepeats on the West Coast feed at midnight, followed by Diamond Is Unbreakable at 12:30 on the East Coast feed.

http://programminginsider.com/tuesday-final-ratings-nbc-again-dominates-with-americas-got-talent-abc-a-distant-runner-up-in-key-demos/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.406 million viewers (#77) • 0.28 HH (#76) • 0.15 A18-49 (#72) • 0.19 A18-34 (#25) • 0.12 A25-54 (#93) American Dad (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.478 million viewers (#72) • 0.34 HH (#69) • 0.21 A18-49 (#47) • 0.26 A18-34 (#15) • 0.19 A25-54 (#64) A bit below average for a Tuesday, except in households and adults 18-34. Couldn't hold a candle to American Dad though. So far, week 7 is quite unlucky, only averaging 397.5K. Let's hope it picks up!
