  1. Week 7 of Dragon Ball Super on Weeknights starts out with a bit of a thud: http://programminginsider.com/monday-final-ratings-nbc-leads-prime-time-in-viewers-and-adults-25-54-abc-tops-in-adults-18-49-and-adults-18-34/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.389 million viewers (#92) • 0.25 HH (#91) • 0.15 A18-49 (#84) • 0.16 A18-34 (#52) • 0.13 A25-54 (#95) American Dad (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.417 million viewers (#90) • 0.29 HH (#80) • 0.17 A18-49 (#72) • 0.17 A18-34 (#47) • 0.14 A25-54 (#93) It's rare that DBS's 18-34 ranking slips below #50, but it happened Monday night at 8 PM.
  2. That was a funny episode, with quite a few poop jokes of all things! This evening at 8, the saga continues!
  3. Looks like that 6th episode you'll just have to stream for yourself, since the stream has moved on to Dragon Ball Super, and it's episodes during the Goku Black arc! Edit: looks like Episodes 57-61 for the rest of this afternoon, and then probably moving to 62-66, which effectively conclude the arc, tonight until Monday or Tuesday night.
  4. I looked a little ahead to the next episode (15), and yep, it appears episode numbers are gone for good.
  5. That's actually--pretty damn good! http://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-pga-championship-golf-third-round-coverage-hits-its-nine-year-best-on-cbs/ PROGRAM Viewers (000) A1849 rating A1849 (000) 10:30 Dragon Ball Super 798 0.38 495 11:00 My Hero Academia (r) 559 0.27 343 11:30 FLCL: Progressive (r) 432 0.21 276 12:00a Pop Team Epic 418 0.19 240 12:30a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 412 0.19 243 1:00a Hunter X Hunter (r) 414 0.19 251 1:30a Black Clover (r) 372 0.18 238 2:00a Naruto: Shippuden (r) 378 0.19 249 2:30a One-Punch Man (r) 350 0.17 222 3:00a Lupin the 3rd: Part 4 (r) 320 0.17 213 3:30a Cowboy Bebop (r) 322 0.16 209 4:00a Ballmastrz: 9009 (r) 295 0.14 186 4:15a Ballmastrz: 9009 (r) 292 0.15 188 Ballmastrz: 9009 isn't actually part of Toonami, but it's pretty cool that they included it anyway. 8/11/18 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention DBS 798,000 MHA 559,000 70.05% FLCL2 432,000 77.28% PTE 418,000 96.76% JoJo 412,000 98.56% HxH 414,000 100.49% B. Still below average for 2018, but above average for the 2nd half of 2018. But it will be REAL interesting to see what happens next week with expansion as MHA moves to 10 PM to lead-in to DBS, and AOT returns at 11 PM!
  6. Doing surprisingly well with the male 12-34 crowd though--came within 0.01 of Pop Team Epic and 0.03 of JoJo!
  7. It's not even continuous like Adult Swim's (currently FLCL Progressive) marathon channel, as yesterday it played Part 1 several times but then went off the air about 10:30 PM. I don't know if it's playing Part 1 or Part 2 today, But I'm guessing it's probably playing the first 8-9 episodes of Part 2. Yep, that's correct. And it's also exclusively subtitled!
  8. Toonami is straight-up killin' it compared to what Chiller's 3-and-done Wednesday night block was doing 3 years ago, when Toonami was killin' it on a whole 'nother level with the conclusion (no pun intended) of KILL la KILL. But yeah, faded glory compared to those halcyon days, but still doing well. DBS almost 800K, and Hellshake Yano and the conclusion of Stardust Crusaders still over 400K: It's not all good news though. DBS actually did 0.05 WORSE in 18-34 than last week; its second-lowest 18-34 number yet since it has occupied 10:30, and that is somewhat troubling. That said, it was STILL the #2 original in 18-34, and of course at 0.24 and up a tick to 0.25 respectively, PTE and JoJo did better than either show has since 7/7 (JoJo since 6/23). By my math, among cable originals, JoJo tied for 4th place with TNT's PGA behind Live PD, NFL, and DBS, and PTE checked in at 6th place. On the 18-49 front, DBS is up 0.02 from last week, and both PTE and JoJo are up from last week by 0.04 and 0.05 respectively, and furthermore have their highest ratings since 6/30. It will be interesting to see how all the other shows that WEREN'T designated cable originals ended up doing, and we shall see soon!
  9. Yeah, but we might actually be caught up to Japan by Part 6 "Stone Ocean". I've HEARD Part 6 is about TWICE as much of a departure from the first 5 as Part 3 was from Part 2, but I don't know for sure. Sure looking 4ward to Part 4 though! (see what I did there?)
  10. I don't feel Battle Tendency was all that rushed, but Phantom Blood was indeed majorly rushed! If anything, the pacing in 2014-15 Stardust Crusaders was a little too SLOW, which makes it surprising that the fight scenes between Jotaro and Dio were longer in the OVAs.
  11. So, the summary for Week 6 of Dragon Ball Super looks like this: Dragon Ball Super Recent Week's Weeknight Ratings Week 6 Viewers HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 8/6 449,000 0.28 0.15 0.18 0.15 8/7 483,000 0.31 0.19 0.21 0.18 8/8 378,000 0.26 0.13 0.14 0.13 8/9 528,000 0.32 0.19 0.20 0.18 8/10 433,000 0.27 0.16 0.17 0.15 Weeknight Ratings Rank (Across ALL Primetime Cable) Week 6 Viewers HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 8/6 #82 #82 #76 #40 #85 8/7 #76 #76 #55 #24 #70 8/8 #89 #83 #83 #44 #92 8/9 #64 #67 #48 #17 #61 8/10 #79 #79 #49 #23 #72 Thursday did exceptionally well and is even beginning to steal Friday's thunder: Dragon Ball Super Day-Of-Week Averages DOW P2+ HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 MON 424,000 0.262 0.148 0.182 0.133 TUE 434,333 0.275 0.165 0.193 0.145 WED 419,833 0.270 0.150 0.173 0.135 THU 452,333 0.290 0.157 0.192 0.148 FRI 469,333 0.282 0.170 0.193 0.157 As you can see, though Tuesday is also a contender, Thursday now has the greatest Households average. 12. Well, that was quite a silly episode! Tomorrow night on Dragon Ball Super: ...we meet Monaka, and Goku almost blows his cover! EPISODE 32: The Matches Begin! We're All Off To The Planet With No Name!!
  13. I love how Bulma just blackmailed Jaco into doing his job! Well, that's convenient. Frog guy gets his ass kicked and suddenly Zuno has an opening!
  14. Yeah, me too. It does have some funny moments in it!
  15. Vegeta: "We're wired that way, you know? Saiyans are only attracted to strong women!" Piccolo: "That. Explains. EVERYTHING!!" My Hero Academia got the first topical, and they did mention it's at 10, but paid no special attention to the new time.
  16. EPISODE 31: Off to See Master Zuno! Find Out Where The Super Dragon Balls Are!!
  17. Coming up on [adult swim] in less than 20 minutes: Vegeta's totally the ultimate jealous hubby; doesn't matter if you're from another galaxy!
  18. Ok, so no one's posted this yet... http://programminginsider.com/live3-weekly-ratings-the-sinner-season-premiere-more-than-doubles-its-livesame-day-figures-in-overall-gains/ Dragon Ball Super (ADSM, Sat., 8/4/18 10:30 PM) • Live+Same Day: 0.723 million viewers / 0.470 million adults 18-49 (0.36 adults 18-49 rating) • Live+3 Day: 0.977 million viewers (+0.254M; +35.13%) / 0.623 million adults 18-49 (0.48 adults 18-49 rating) (+0.153M; +0.12 rating; +32.55%) This is fairly important as it pertains to Dragon Ball Super's 528K/0.19 18-49 on Thursday: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-thursday-cable-originals-network-finals-8-9-2018.html The 7 PM premiere episode of We Bare Bears (#90 Original) on CN only managed a 434K/0.09 18-49 an hour earlier. DBS shot up a full TENTH of a point! Go ahead and tell me it's not gaining an audience, because you'd be WRONG!! However, Friday's episode was a different story... http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-friday-cable-originals-network-finals-8-10-2018.html This time, the 7 PM WBB (ALSO #90 Original) did a bear hair better, 477K/0.10 18-49. DBS did grow the 18-49 audience from there considerably, but not the total viewership: http://programminginsider.com/friday-final-ratings-telemundo-leads-prime-time-among-key-young-adult-demos/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.433 million viewers (#79) • 0.27 HH (#79) • 0.16 A18-49 (#49) • 0.17 A18-34 (#23) • 0.15 A25-54 (#72) The Cleveland Show (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.357 million viewers (#87) • 0.25 HH (#83) • 0.14 A18-49 (#67) • 0.13 A18-34 (#42) • 0.14 A25-54 (#79) Sure did beat the crap out of the Cleveland Show though (the first episode; NOT the 2nd)!
  19. If there were ever a title for Viz and Bang-zoom to try a simul-dub on, it's THIS title! But where could it go? Perhaps to replace Diamond Is Unbreakable if Golden Wind is not yet available!
  20. I really REALLY hope they use All Might saying "Holy Stinking SUPERCRAP!" in the promo!
  21. While that is pretty funny, when you think about it, it's really not that much different from the old 60's "Batman" theme!
  22. So this IS officially a One-Punch Man thread, just to clarify, but if you ask me, AOT S2 was MUCH better paced than the Trost arc. When that got to Part 9, I was all like "good grief! How long is this arc gonna take!? The 2nd cour started out slowly but as soon as the Female Titan appeared, it got much better. And as for Season 2, well, the flashbacks are one reason that it shined! Plus of course there was the BIG reveal, and that last confrontation with the Titan who ate Eren's mom! I'm looking forward to seeing (more of) Season 3 starting on August 25th (I've already seen Episode #38), and of course also looking forward to One-Punch Man Season 2 next Spring!
  23. If you ask me, this season opener was deserving of slightly better than a "B", but oh well... https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-14/.114230
  24. I thought this episode was good. Well, better than a "B", but there ya go: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/black-clover/episode-34/.132280
