I'd say if FLCL Progressive doesn't tow the mark in reruns (whatever that is), it might get dropped back to 2:30 AM when Space Dandy ends in favor of something new (personally hoping for AOT S3), and then when it ends or it's time for Alternative to begin (I haven't got a clue what they're doing on August 25th though), Pop Team Epic can slide back there for its last few episodes! If that's how it goes, at least the 4 episodes which previously aired at Midnight will get their chance at 11:30 first, and PTE will have aired 9 episodes at Midnight. Also, DBS did fine on Wednesday despite being opposite the dubbed AOT movie in theaters: http://programminginsider.com/wednesday-final-ratings-modest-premiere-for-tko-total-knockout-on-cbs-but-24-hours-to-hell-back-on-fox-wins-the-hour-among-adults-18-49/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.)• 0.448 million viewers (#81)• 0.28 HH (#82)• 0.17 A18-49 (#61)• 0.22 A18-34 (#23)• 0.13 A25-54 (#90)

That explains why 7/5/18 was late, and why we only know total viewers and adults 18-49. Week 2 is young, with only 2 days in the books, but it's already looking much better, especially in 18-49 and 18-34, and keep in mind that the latter might actually be better, since we're missing its number on 7/5. It seems that if your goal is showing growth over time, making a major programming change the week of the 4th of July such as bringing Dragon Ball Super to weeknights was a pretty smart idea indeed! But we'll see if that held up against the dubbed Attack on Titan movie last night, which probably grabbed a large chunk of its audience. Edit: "8" jumping to the next line on Mobile fixed.

Black Clover, but what they're doing with it now is REALLY weird. They're playing episode 1, then 2 twice, then 3 twice. It makes no sense, but there it is. -

Attack on Titan Season 3 in Theaters 7/10 and 7/11
OwlChemist81 replied to Meilag32's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Turns out I was wrong about the screening, even tonight's dubbed edition. No mention of Toonami at all! But I've already seen Episode #38 dubbed on the big screen! -

OwlChemist81 replied to Meilag32's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
In August, to be exact! I have a theory that we'll get the Toonami announcement after the screening tomorrow. I hope I'm right! -
Progressive DID have a better ending than Samurai Jack, IMHO!

Well, this is bat shit crazy: the 1 AM hour beat the Midnight Hour! http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-7-2018.html Adult Swim’s late-night line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL down a tenth to 0.35, MY HERO ACADEMIA down 0.02 to 0.26/560K, FLCL down 0.06 to 0.21/443K, POP TEAM EPIC down 0.04 to 0.17/374K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURES down 0.04 to 0.16, HUNTER X HUNTER steady at 0.18/435K, BLACK CLOVER down a tick to 0.17/400K, NARUTO down 0.04 to 0.17/359K, SPACE DANDY down a tick to 0.14/307K, COWBOY BEBOP up 0.03 to 0.15/304K, and LUPIN THE 3RD steady at 0.13/273K. And it's not as bad as it could have been otherwise, also because until Lupin everything stayed above 300K. Unlucky 7/7/18 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention DBS 754,000 #DIV/0! Do y'all want me to start a separate Dragon Ball Super Weeknight Run ratings thread, or to just post the numbers in this thread? Please let me know, but for now I will do the latter. Well, its 11:07 PM encore DID beat most of the Toonami shows in the same timeslots in 18-49 and that might be a problem, but they sure handled it in all the young adult demos! And, it's premiere was obliterated by Dragon Ball Super in 18-34 and male 12-34!
-
Sorry, I was getting dental work done this morning. Couldn't make it happen.
-
First the good news: Dragon Ball Super got #2 in 18-49 and won 18-34, female 18-24, and male 18-24 by a pretty wide margin. But that's cold comfort when the actual numbers are THIS low: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-7-2018.html

Here's the cover of next week's Shonen Jump

Ok, so 4 present connections, 7 past/present connections. But either way, I agree that's a lot of connections! -
Here's the cover of next week's Shonen Jump
OwlChemist81 replied to PokeNirvash's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Luffy's no longer part of Toonami, and who the hell is Hiel? Either way, there are 4 out of the 11 shows currently on Toonami represented on that cover. Really, all the shows represented on that cover can either be found 10:30-11:30, from 1:30-2:30, or they're not on the block. JoJo and Hunter x Hunter are also Jump, of course. So that means right now the block is over half Jump, but it's not as bad as it was a year and a half ago when the ONLY non-Jump series was Gundam Unicorn. Granted, then it was just 8 shows, but that was still oversaturation. -
Oops, sorry. I got Imaishi mixed up with Masaaki. These Japanese names get me sometimes.

stream 2018 Weekly Streaming Archives
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
In case you care, the stream has advanced to Episodes #06-#10 of AOT. I know it isn't much, but it's still interesting to see what characters who were pretty much hiding in the background but became extremely important later in Season 2 were doing early on. -
Attack on Titan panel has ended. No Toonami announcement for Season 3, BUT it will begin its simul-dub sometime in August. August 4th is when Space Dandy ends. Something would have to move down, but we could still be getting it August 11th and it could still be dub premieres. Also, keep an eye on Promare for 2019. From the director of Gurren Lagann and by Trigger.
