  1. Here we go--I'm actually home for the East Coast airing of this one for once (and probably for the only time this week!) Get ready for silly filler-ish stuff!!
  2. Most of what you say is complete and total garbage...but I DO agree with you about Gundam Unicorn! It's totally badass! I'm really hoping that Toonami's next Gundam is either Thunderbolt (18 min/ep; great spot for an interstitial) or Narrative.
  3. That was quite an amusing episode of Dragon Ball Super, especially because Yamcha screwed everything up in the end and made it all for nothing! Plus, this was TOTALLY Tacos Tuesday!! And this evening we have... Ignore that "next Saturday at 10:30" bit as usual; you'll see this episode at 8 PM this evening!
  4. Not so sure that's the case. Its Adults 18-49 viewership actually INCREASED slightly from its premiere to its rerun (yes, total viewers went down, I'll give you that.) But that indicates a rising interest in this show in general and of course Episode #39 completely blew Episode #38 out of the water. Hopefully this trend will continue for Episode #40 in a week and a half... As for Monday ratings for Dragon Ball Super, well, it's pretty much business as usual: http://programminginsider.com/monday-final-ratings-three-year-high-for-u-s-open-tennis-opening-night-prime-time-window-on-espn2/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.381 million viewers (#91) • 0.25 HH (#86) • 0.14 A18-49 (#74) • 0.15 A18-34 (#44) • 0.12 A25-54 (#98) American Dad (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.386 million viewers (#90) • 0.26 HH (#83) • 0.18 A18-49 (#58) • 0.15 A18-34 (#44) • 0.18 A25-54 (#75) Nice job tying American Dad in 18-34 though. It's too early to tell if another action show will be picked to replace The Cleveland Show, but in the demographic that matters, at least DBS seems to be keeping pace with the first comedy show.
  5. Here's what I do: I paste, and then I click "Paste as plain text instead". It looks something like this: The Cleveland Show (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.513 million viewers (#74) • 0.35 HH (#66) • 0.20 A18-49 (#40) • 0.20 A18-34 (#17) • 0.17 A25-54 (#72) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.682 million viewers (#47) • 0.45 HH (#47) • 0.28 A18-49 (#15) • 0.31 A18-34 (#6) • 0.23 A25-54 (#45) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 9:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.815 million viewers (#28) • 0.54 HH (#27) • 0.34 A18-49 (#7) • 0.36 A18-34 (#4) • 0.30 A25-54 (#21) Rick & Morty (repeat) (ADSM, 9:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.794 million viewers (#32) • 0.51 HH (#31) • 0.36 A18-49 (#4) • 0.43 A18-34 (#2) • 0.28 A25-54 (#25) My Hero Academia (repeat) (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.615 million viewers (#58) • 0.39 HH (#60) • 0.29 A18-49 (#12) • 0.33 A18-34 (#5) • 0.21 A25-54 (#53) Dragon Ball Super (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.707 million viewers (#45) • 0.46 HH (#43) • 0.34 A18-49 (#7) • 0.41 A18-34 (#3) • 0.26 A25-54 (#32) Adult Swim claimed shows #2-#6 in 18-34 in prime time. Only the embarrassing juggernaught that is Live PD beat them, but it's probably gonna lose its ass to college football for the next 4 months. That will be oh so sweet. I'd expect Family Guy and/or Dragon Ball Super to beat Live PD from time to time once its Spring/Summer audience flies the coop to college football! But as for Toonami, it seems to me like it would benefit from swapping My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Super. I'd say MHA would probably be higher if DBS wasn't at 10:30. And the rest of Toonami went like this: PROGRAM Viewers (000) A1849 rating A1849 (000) 10:00 My Hero Academia (r) 615 0.29 369 10:30 Dragon Ball Super 707 0.34 444 11:00 Attack on Titan (r) 477 0.23 292 11:30 Attack on Titan 528 0.25 328 12:00a Pop Team Epic 384 0.16 212 12:30a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable 386 0.17 218 1:00a Hunter X Hunter (r) 378 0.15 198 1:30a Black Clover (r) 382 0.17 213 2:00a Naruto: Shippuden (r) 358 0.16 203 2:30a One-Punch Man (r) 340 0.15 188 3:00a Lupin the 3rd: Part 4 (r) 260 0.12 150 3:30a Cowboy Bebop (r) 269 0.12 161 8/25/18 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention MHA 615,000 DBS 707,000 114.96% AOT 477,000 67.47% AOT 528,000 110.69% PTE 384,000 72.73% JoJo 386,000 100.52% HxH 378,000 97.93% B. 6. Up next is Outlaw Star, and it's fairly clear that the stream intends to stream the last 10 episodes, starting today through Friday evening with 17-21, then picking up with 22-26 from Friday through Labor Day... Which means, yes, the Marathon Stream will FINALLY stream the infamous HOT SPRINGS EPISODE!!!
  7. I can't speak for the new Unlimited Blade Works series, but I had no trouble following the Heaven's Feel movie after having had only seen Fate/Zero. Fate/Zero DOES have its problems (characters pacing around during long scenes of dialog, for example), but for the most part, it's the shit, and easy to understand since it's the beginning point.
  8. The best thing that came out of last night's episode was the debut (I believe) of the My Hero Academia marathon promo!
  9. Well, THIS happened: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-8-25-2018.html Attack on Titan did almost 200K better at 11:30 PM than the FLCL Progressive rerun did in that timeslot last week, but otherwise, only slight gains in total viewers. All slots also did at least a little better in key demographics, with the pacesetters DBS in 18-34 (+0.09), and AOT's premiere in 18-49. AOT was even well over 300K 18-49 at 11:30, something we haven't seen at 11:30 since June 30th.
  10. In terms of Dragon Ball Super weeknight ratings, it has actually been more or less bipolar, as it both boasts the highest ratings in Week 1 and carries the burden of the lowest ratings in Week 8 in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, and all the others are 2nd either from the top or bottom: DOW Max of Viewers Max of HH MON 455,000 0.28 TUE 483,000 0.31 WED 456,000 0.29 THU 540,000 0.32 FRI 576,000 0.31 DOW Min of Viewers Min of HH MON 363,000 0.23 TUE 382,000 0.24 WED 378,000 0.25 THU 399,000 0.27 FRI 351,000 0.24 DOW Max of 18-49 Max of 18-34 Max of 25-54 MON 0.16 0.19 0.15 TUE 0.19 0.23 0.18 WED 0.18 0.22 0.16 THU 0.19 0.26 0.18 FRI 0.21 0.24 0.19 DOW Min of 18-49 Min of 18-34 Min of 25-54 MON 0.14 0.13 0.11 TUE 0.14 0.14 0.11 WED 0.12 0.13 0.11 THU 0.12 0.16 0.13 FRI 0.13 0.14 0.11
  11. http://programminginsider.com/friday-final-ratings-big3-basketball-on-fox-reaches-its-largest-audience-to-date-with-championship-final/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.351 million viewers (#83) • 0.24 HH (#80) • 0.13 A18-49 (#68) • 0.14 A18-34 (#23) • 0.12 A25-54 (#89) The Cleveland Show (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.338 million viewers (#85) • 0.24 HH (#80) • 0.13 A18-49 (#68) • 0.14 A18-34 (#23) • 0.12 A25-54 (#89) Wow, that's pretty bad for a Friday. Lowest total viewer total yet for ANY day of the week, but at least the Cleveland Show actually LOST total viewers and tied in everything else! Also, note that the standard to make Top 25 in 18-34 was apparently lower on Friday than other days of the week. Of course, Friday's dead-last status in week 8 had a disastrous effect on its day-of-week average: Dragon Ball Super Day-Of-Week Averages DOW P2+ HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 MON 412,000 0.259 0.148 0.173 0.131 TUE 428,375 0.274 0.163 0.189 0.143 WED 423,750 0.274 0.154 0.176 0.139 THU 463,625 0.293 0.161 0.197 0.149 FRI 448,250 0.275 0.165 0.184 0.154 Ouch. Thursday now leads in total viewers, households, and adults 18-34. And as for week 8 as a whole, it was not so great, as its averages were last or next-to-last in every category among the first 8 weeks of DBS's fledgling weeknight run: Dragon Ball Super M-F Weekly Avgs Wk P2+ HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 #1 453,800 0.283 0.150 0.173 0.143 #2 456,000 0.288 0.174 0.216 0.148 #3 438,800 0.264 0.152 0.184 0.132 #4 421,200 0.258 0.150 0.186 0.134 #5 415,800 0.272 0.158 0.178 0.146 #6 454,200 0.288 0.164 0.180 0.158 #7 441,600 0.282 0.166 0.190 0.148 #8 400,200 0.262 0.150 0.158 0.134 Now that this unpleasantness is behind us, hopefully Week 9 will be just fine? But with Gumball as its lead-in once again instead of We Bare Bears, which Weeks 6 & 7 enjoyed the benefit from, it doesn't seem likely...
  12. Wow, no discussion tonight, as the 6th Universe Tournament Arc comes to a close, and hinted at events to come on Toonami's premiere run on Saturday nights! But for now, we move on to THIS tomorrow night: It's hard to keep a secret from a Saiyan, especially one as battle-obsessed as Goku!
  13. Maybe it was a little of both? Censorship achieved through Engrish?? The thing about the HF.I.L was that it was probably inconvenient in the dialog but convenient on-screen. The shirts on the backs of Gozu and Mezu both said "HELL", which had to be doctored so that the bottom parts of the letters "E" and "L" were removed and it read "HF.I.L". Bet THAT wasn't cheap!
  14. I'm not sure it was censorship in her case, but rather, as I explained above, "Engrish mistransration!" It's not blatant as how Mr. Satan became "Hercule." The only thing those have in common is the mouth movements are similar!
  15. "Bulla" is actually NOT a "censored" form of "Bra;" it's actually just ENGRISH for "Bra!" Think about it: the Japanese would pronounce "Bra" as "Bu-Ra" or "Bu-La"! It's actually similar to "Giru" in GT; the animation of that series actually spelled his name "GILL." "Gi-Ru" is just how the Japanese would say "GILL!" But anyway, I don't think her name has been announced yet in Super. They MIGHT just go with "Bra," and maybe her middle name will be "Zeer?"
  16. Hell yeah! F*CK Round-Up, and ALL HAIL THE WHO!!!
  17. No, Jackass, please don't rape Historia!!! THAT was Linked Horizon!? I wasn't expecting that! Oh, nice!!
  18. I just noticed they DID change something!! The pre-Toonami schedule is now THIS: 8 PM Cleveland Show 8:30 Family Guy x2 9:30 Rick & Morty Post-Toonami at 4 AM doesn't seem to have changed. Hopefully this leads to better ratings!
  19. It's now on earlier than any Toonami show premiere has been yet in the history of Toonami on [as], but somehow we just can't seem to get into it, as it just seems to be a speed bump to Dragon Ball Super. Or maybe it's just that these aren't dub premieres, and not "all new" as this promo proclaims: Whatever the reason, it's on at a relatively new time, 10 PM, which is less than 8 hours from now. Plus we're having a Season 1 Marathon next week, so there's that. Enjoy...
  20. WHO YA GONNA CALL?? 12 Midnight tomorrow, ONLY TOONAMI!!
  21. As expected, the Friday night advance happened, and now the stream is playing the last 5 episodes (8-12; #20-#24 overall) of Tokyo Ghoul: Root A.
