  1. http://programminginsider.com/friday-final-ratings-7-million-watch-stand-up-to-cancer-telethon-across-big-4-networks/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.434 million viewers (#82) • 0.30 HH (#75) • 0.18 A18-49 (#58) • 0.22 A18-34 (#17) • 0.20 A25-54 (#61) That 0.2 in 25-54 is a new personal best for that demo for DBS at 8 PM! Summing up the whole week, we had: Dragon Ball Super Recent Week's Weeknight Ratings Week 10 Viewers HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 9/3 494,000 0.28 0.17 0.21 0.16 9/4 427,000 0.28 0.15 0.15 0.15 9/5 354,000 0.25 0.13 0.15 0.12 9/6 497,000 0.29 0.16 0.19 0.15 9/7 434,000 0.30 0.18 0.22 0.20 Weeknight Ratings Rank (Across ALL Primetime Cable) Week 10 Viewers HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 9/3 #75 #79 #58 #33 #80 9/4 #81 #79 #77 #48 #86 9/5 #92 #87 #85 #44 #95 9/6 #64 #72 #55 #20 #73 9/7 #82 #75 #58 #17 #61 And so as a whole, the weekly averages so far have been: Dragon Ball Super M-F Weekly Avgs Wk P2+ HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 #1 453,800 0.283 0.150 0.173 0.143 #2 456,000 0.288 0.174 0.216 0.148 #3 438,800 0.264 0.152 0.184 0.132 #4 421,200 0.258 0.150 0.186 0.134 #5 415,800 0.272 0.158 0.178 0.146 #6 454,200 0.288 0.164 0.180 0.158 #7 441,600 0.282 0.166 0.190 0.148 #8 400,200 0.262 0.150 0.158 0.134 #9 426,000 0.270 0.158 0.178 0.150 #10 441,200 0.280 0.158 0.184 0.156 On a weekly average, there have been good weeks and bad weeks, but also some days of the week are better than others: Dragon Ball Super Day-Of-Week Averages DOW P2+ HH 18-49 18-34 25-54 MON 417,100 0.260 0.149 0.174 0.133 TUE 436,000 0.277 0.164 0.187 0.147 WED 409,800 0.267 0.151 0.173 0.138 THU 466,900 0.293 0.160 0.194 0.149 FRI 446,667 0.278 0.167 0.188 0.159 Mondays and Wednesdays are clearly the worst or 2nd worst, while Thursday leads in total viewers, households, and 18-34, but Friday leads in 18-49 and 25-54. But this week the game changes, as DBS has taken over the 8:30 timeslot. We'll see later today how the first day of this experiment panned out...
  2. JoJo would be an interesting one, as it hasn't gotten any on-air marathon love in quite a while, but I'm not sure it CAN get a marathon all night starting at 10 PM. The earliest it's ever aired is midnight. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for destroyed turtles and bulldogs losing their heads in the 10 PM hour, but S&P might be a little wary of it. AOT is bloody but stylized enough and popular enough to get away with it. And I can't see DBS ever getting a marathon again since it's running on weeknights, but you never know.
  3. Well, http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-9-8-2018.html College Football dominates, but at least all 5 eligible cable originals made the Top 50, and we seem to have beaten Live PD for once, unless it was a rerun and therefore ineligible, which is most likely the case; if so, smart move on A&E's part. Wow, a premiere of DBS below 700K!? Either MHA before DBS was clearly a mistake, or people just aren't taking to this new arc and art style! But its effect on 18-34 was even worse: Adults 18-34 Show Rating Estimate Retention DBS 0.29 197,000 N/A AOTS3 0.22 150,000 75.86% FLCL3 0.24 163,000 109.09% PTE 0.23 156,000 95.83% JoJo4 0.21 143,000 91.30% Now granted, those are just estimates, but it's possible the whole Toonami block had LESS THAN 200K 18-34 watching last night, unless MHA pulled it off, which we'll probably know later on today.
  4. We're at the point in the series where the episodes are actually fresh enough in my mind that I'm able to live-post a little without watching. But now that I AM actually watching, I see that [as] chose to advertise Venture Bros., Toonami's new Dragon Ball Super, the upcoming Festival, and My Hero Academia. Well, here's what we'll see tonight: And then right after that at 8:30, it's... Ignore that "Saturday 10:30" bit--oh, and BTW, this weeknight run is now only these episodes' SECOND airing. ENJOY!
  5. Get your dose of mind-bending insanity all this week with Pop Team Epic!!! Unknown yet if it will advance to #6-#10 tonight (Friday), but it might... Either way... ALL RIGHT!!
  6. http://programminginsider.com/thursday-final-ratings-nfl-kickoff-game-on-nbc-sinks-to-ten-year-low/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.497 million viewers (#64) • 0.29 HH (#72) • 0.16 A18-49 (#55) • 0.19 A18-34 (#20) • 0.15 A25-54 (#73) Considering the competition that was the NFL kickoff game, that's not too shabby!
  7. I don't THINK Dragon Balls can fix whole universes being wiped out...now maybe SUPER Dragon Balls can, but if just one was in the universe that got deleted, whoops...
  8. And ironically, she SHOULD be old enough to be his grandmother!!
  9. I'll probably watch these with the West Coast at 10 PM Central tonight.
  10. I know I'm most likely in the minority here, but I'm down for more SAO on Toonami. Hopefully it gets a pretty good timeslot, like before midnight. Making it a medieval fantasy hour at 1 AM leading-in to Black Clover wouldn't be a horrible idea either, though. Hell, in the current climate, it might even get a weeknight run. The question is, would they re-acquire SAO I & II to re-air them on weeknights? There's almost no blood in it so it would be fine for 8:30 PM...
  11. Rather disappointingly, it's still just the same ol', same ol', the first 5 episodes of FLCL Progressive. Couldn't even be bothered to stream the 6th episode. Hopefully a change comes tonight.
  12. Here's what we have coming up on Adult Swim in about 6 hours and change: And THEN, right afterward at 8:30, it's time for... Two episodes per weeknight beginning TONIGHT! CAN YA BELIEVE IT!?
  13. Well, at least we have REAL STAKES this time, for the first time since the Beerus and Frieza arcs. And BOY DO WE EVER!! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dragon-ball-super/episode-78/.112154 Rating: "B+". The story got kicked up a notch, so understandably so does the grade!
  14. And I just realized I never posted the review for this "Universal Survival Arc" beginning episode: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dragon-ball-super/episode-77/.111878 Rating: "B". An inauspicious start, considering where the story notoriously ended up.
  15. It's pretty good: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/flcl-alternative/episode-1/.136545 Rating: "B+" Of course, this is only the beginning, and in the future, I really hope it blows us away!
  16. Wow, what a review: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/attack-on-titan/episode-39/.134849 Rating: "A". Couldn't agree more, and this episode just had me wanting more...
  17. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-17/.115163 Rating: "B+". Of course this episode was Part 1 of 2, with the payoff coming next week!
  18. I realized I haven't posted that week's ANN review yet: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-16/.114882 Rating: "B+". Wasn't a bad way to start off Toonami for 8/25/18!
  19. You're right that there is no real reason for a Halloween marathon, but the only shows they can do that with are FLCL Progressive/Alternative and Pop Team Epic, which is what leads me to believe they might just be crazy enough to try it. AOT S3 is going to be 24 episodes. It definitely makes sense to present that as 2 12-episode cours. Even if the 13th episode is out by then, maybe it makes more sense for it to not air or to expand the night like MHA did. It might break down that the 13th episode is the end of this major story arc rather than the 12th; or that the WHOLE THING is just one BIG story arc; we really don't know. I don't think Dragon Ball Super will have another marathon on Toonami because it's gone on to bigger and better things (namely, a weeknight run). I think that one's MHA instead.
  20. http://programminginsider.com/wednesday-final-ratings-conclusion-of-the-bobby-brown-story-on-bet-tops-cable-in-all-key-adult-and-female-demos/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.354 million viewers (#92) • 0.25 HH (#87) • 0.13 A18-49 (#85) • 0.15 A18-34 (#44) • 0.12 A25-54 (#95) Not the best for a Wednesday, which at this point has the worst average of any day of the week. And American Dad gained on it, for what it's worth.
  21. I ain't clicking that... ANN reviewer James Beckett gave this one a "B+", as it is rather flashback- and exposition-heavy, but some of the reveals of this episode should serve as a flashpoint for growing conflicts to come! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/attack-on-titan/episode-40/.135136
  22. Wow, I thought I posted what used to be here in the Ratings thread. What the actual hell!?!
  23. Quite right. I meant to start that post with that. My bad. I've now fixed it!
  24. It's that time of year again: time to predict which shows Toonami will be running ALL NIGHT on holiday weekends throughout the rest of the year! Here's my predictions: Pop Team Epic: Halloween (October 27th) Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 1: Thanksgiving (November 24th) My Hero Academia Season 2 Part 1: Christmas (December 22nd) FLCL Progressive/Alternative: New Year's (December 29th)
