  8. Well what do ya know? Family Guy at 11 actually didn't outperform MHA the previous week by MUCH: My Hero Academia (repeat) (Adult Swim, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.196 million viewers • 0.07 A18-49 • 0.06 A25-54 • 0.02 A55+ My Hero Academia (repeat) (ADSM, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.202 million viewers (#100) • 0.13 HH (#100) • 0.09 A18-49 (#91) • 0.10 A18-34 (#41) • 0.08 A25-54 (#98) • 0.02 A55+ Bob’s Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.401 million viewers (#78) • 0.25 HH (#72) • 0.19 A18-49 (#30) • 0.19 A18-34 (#11) • 0.18 A25-54 (#50) • 0.07 A55+ Bob’s Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.549 million viewers (#49) • 0.35 HH (#50) • 0.26 A18-49 (#12) • 0.27 A18-34 (#3) • 0.25 A25-54 (#32) • 0.10 A55+ American Dad (repeat) (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.543 million viewers (#51) • 0.35 HH (#50) • 0.26 A18-49 (#12) • 0.26 A18-34 (#4) • 0.27 A25-54 (#27) • 0.10 A55+ Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.604 million viewers (#47) • 0.39 HH (#45) • 0.29 A18-49 (#9) • 0.29 A18-34 (#2) • 0.30 A25-54 (#23) • 0.13 A55+ Family Guy (R) (Adult Swim, 11:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.589 million viewers • 0.30 A18-49 • 0.31 A25-54 • 0.10 A55+ https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-late-night-rebroadcast-of-saturday-night-live-on-nbc-tops-the-days-telecasts-in-adults-25-54/
  9. MHA reruns are actually up against a wall, or at least the power hour seems to be. It looks like this week (2/29) will feature episodes 411 and 412 in primetime while 414 premieres on Toonami. The following week (3/7), it's episodes 413 and 414 while 415 premieres on Toonami. Then the week after that (3/14)? Probably gonna fall back down to just one episode (415) at 8 PM and later at 11:30 on Toonami the premiere of episode 416. I guess they COULD give 414 a 3-peat, and that would be an interesting twist because it's the first episode of the 2nd arc. They DID do something similar with Dragon Ball Super, though it was 8:30 premieres followed by 11:30 reruns, then 8 PM the following week for the 3-peat leading-in to the next week's premiere at 8:30. WOULD they play the same episode of MHA once each night for 3 weeks in a row in different timeslots? I guess we'll find out! I'm personally rooting for Dr. Stone to take over 8:30, though that would probably be a tough drop. Maybe if CN aired something remotely educational at 7 PM (Currently Infinity Train reruns), Dr. Stone at 8 would be a decent move before MHA at 8:30.
  10. "Adult Swim’s line-up performed as follows: MY HERO ACADEMIA at 0.07/196 & 0.09/202K, compared to last week’s 0.09/262K & 0.08/243K and 0.29, DR STONE up 0.02 to 0.24, SWORD ART UNDERWORLD up 0.06 to 0.23, DEMON SLAYER up 0.02 to 0.22/362K, FOOD WARS up 0.03 to 0.20, BLACK CLOVER steady at 0.18/308K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE up 0.03 to 0.17/283K, NARUTO up 0.01 to 0.14/233K, PROMISED NEVERLAND up 0.01 to 0.13/233K, and ATTACK ON TITAN up 9.01 (??) to 0.12/193K." Look at all those "ups". Even without the absolutely implausible "up 9.01" that AOT got (it apparently was at "-8.87" last week somehow 🙄) which is obviously the result of a typo, this is pretty impressive, despite Tyson Fury's fierce attack on the Bronze Bomber and Toonami. It also means that the truncated block is working out well for Toonami and we might not get 11 PM back anytime soon. https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-late-night-rebroadcast-of-saturday-night-live-on-nbc-tops-the-days-telecasts-in-adults-25-54/ 2/22/2020 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention MHA 409 196,000 MHA 410 202,000 103.06% TOONAMI Dr. Stone 440,000 SAOAWOU 386,000 87.73% D. Actually slightly below the Toonami timeslots average for 2020 so far, but only just. Hopefully with MHA back leading the pack, and the fat on the back end trimmed, the leaner, meaner Toonami of 2/29 and beyond will just keep improving!!
  11. Looks like I have a LOT to get to here. First, the numbers for the pre-Toonami shows finally came in from last week (2/15): My Hero Academia (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.264 million viewers (#94) • 0.15 HH (#94) • 0.08 A18-49 (#91) • 0.09 A18-34 (#55) • 0.08 A25-54 (#99) • 0.04 A55+ My Hero Academia (repeat) (Adult Swim, 8:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.231 million viewers • 0.07 A18-49 • 0.08 A25-54 • 0.04 A55+ Bobs Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.403 million viewers (#63) • 0.24 HH (#63) • 0.17 A18-49 (#29) • 0.14 A18-34 (#20) • 0.19 A25-54 (#37) • 0.06 A55+ Bobs Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.589 million viewers (#47) • 0.35 HH (#46) • 0.26 A18-49 (#9) • 0.26 A18-34 (#7) • 0.28 A25-54 (#21) • 0.09 A55+ Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.661 million viewers (#35) • 0.42 HH (#38) • 0.30 A18-49 (#7) • 0.30 A18-34 (#5) • 0.31 A25-54 (#13) • 0.10 A55+ Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.708 million viewers (#31) • 0.46 HH (#31) • 0.34 A18-49 (#5) • 0.35 A18-34 (#4) • 0.34 A25-54 (#9) • 0.10 A55+ Read more: https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-nba-all-star-saturday-night-on-tnt-hits-three-year-high-in-total-viewers/ I think the reason we only have truncated numbers for the 8:30 airing of MHA is that it failed to make the Top 100 in 18-49. That's not great news. I guess we should all just be gracious that the Overhaul arc did well enough to get a prime time rerun, but I doubt action will be able to hang onto 8:30 for long. That could bode well for the return of 11 PM to Toonami before too long as well, but alternatively they could just stick an American Dad episode in there. As for MHA's retention on 2/15 for the mid-season finale of the Overhaul arc, looks like it was 79% in Adults 18-49 and 25-54, but 82% in total viewers and 89% in Adults 18-34, which speaks to its strength on how it was able to get the 8 PM hour in the first place. It maintained a pretty impressive 84% average retention from Family Guy in 2020, and 90% in the past 5 weeks, in Adults 18-34. That's not Dragon Ball Super strength, but it's still pretty impressive! Now on to the numbers from 2/22, starting with the Show Buzz Daily report. Was it a knockout blow for Fury vs. Wilder? Not exactly... http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-2-22-2020.html Down quite a bit on average, to be sure, but comparable to what those timeslots have done in recent weeks.
  12. So yeah...this was a Zenitsu episode. If you like him, then you probably liked this episode. If you don't, then you probably didn't, but that said... https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/demon-slayer-kimetsu-no-yaiba/episode-17/.149442 Rating: 4 STARS! Maybe if Zenitsu wasn't such an annoying little shit, it would have been 5 though.
  13. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/sword-art-online-alicization-war-of-underworld/episode-6/.153353 Rating: 4 Stars! Yeah, this episode was confusing but a true visual tour-de-force!
  14. Yeah, probably. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dr-stone/episode-24/.154704 Rating: 5 STARS! Damn right I agree!! Thanks for the memories, Dr. Stone Season 1!
  15. Yeah, really. That would have been nice.
  16. Yeah, but we won't get to see it. 😥 Episode #15: "Special Operations Squad" - Prelude To The Counterattack, Part 2 - Zoe Hange is on to something here...
  17. DAMN IT, WHAT A SHITTY NOTE TO END OUR RUN ON! Well, on to another doomed show, Attack on Titan!
  18. Why did Emma think THAT was a good idea!? And what did she mean by the 5 of them!?
  19. Sadly, one last time... Episode #8: 011145 BAD MOVE, KRONE!!!
  20. Yeah, there was an extra bout in there that I didn't expect. It ended about 1 AM ET. We're probably gonna see Toonami's worst ratings of the year.
  21. Oh wow! It was actually kinda cool to hear her back on Toonami!!!
  22. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/jojo-bizarre-adventure-golden-wind/episode-15/.142314 Grade: "B". I can't say I agree. Should be more like A-. And it turns out that WASN'T Steve Blum, but a gentleman who sounds kinda like him named Bill Millsaps!
