I may have actually met someone. She's really cool. But I'm afraid to see where it goes. Maybe it's trust issues? Maybe it's the fear of rejection? I don't know.

sports 2023/24 NFL It’s a Hard Knock Life Shit Talking Thread

I will say that as long as Jerry Jones owns the Cowboys, they will most likely never win another Super Bowl. That said, I've never seen a more inexplicable collapse in my entire life watching football than Super Bowl LI. That's just...jeez, man. (Also, I'm sorry.) -
My dad passed away back in 2017. We had a really good relationship before he died. I still miss him.

Same in my family. Or at least a good ass kicking. lol (Must be a Gen X/Xennial thing. lol)

I caught a flu bug. I haven't been this sick since 2019. I was still married. Holy crap.

The title is "Fuck You Bitch" in case y'all were wondering. -
My grandmother hasn't been dead a week and my aunt had to start in on my mom about how we "didn't take better care of her" even though she (my granother) had dementia and she (my aunt) is a nurse and knows we had nowhere near the wherewithall to provide the kind of care she needed. Before all this happened, my uncle and I had agreed that all of us as a family needed to come together and love each other like we used to, even if only temporarily. But my aunt pulling what she pulled put the kibosh on that. To my aunt: My mom was going over there to do the best she could for both my grandparents, even to the point of neglecting her own health, and you have the audacity to say we did a piss poor job of caring for my grandmother when you didn't even do a motherfucking thing but buy cleaning supplies for us? You know what? After she's cremated and buried, I'm cutting all contact with you. As far as I'm concerned, you are no longer my aunt. Therefore, go fuck yourself. One last thing: I hate how people can be when someone passes away. My ex-mother-in-law started giving away her late husband's stuff not even forty-eight hours after the man died. Now I don't mind being the recipient of things like that, but I had felt it was too soon. But other family members were okay with it. Am I the crazy one for wanting to show the man some respect? Am I crazy for wanting us to let people morn the recently departed? Jesus Christ Almighty, I must be because only my mom and my brothers agreed with me. Not only that, but I hate how people can be in that they can act like a bunch of vultures circling, then picking at a lifeless corpse that's lying in the middle of a sweltering desert. It's almost as if they can't wait to get their greedy hands on the deceased's belongings. Bunch of vultures. They can kiss my ass. TL;DR: People suck ass.

Thanks, y'all. I appreciate it. Here's what she looked like when she was healthier. I’d say I look quite a lot like her. This was me with her at a birthday dinner for her in 2017. -
Good luck, @txanimeluva. I hope everything goes well. *hugs*

She passed away just before noon Central Daylight Time at her and my grandfather's house in Deer Park, Texas. She was 91. To be honest, I'm more relieved than upset because she's not suffering anymore. Still, I'm upset for my mom, my uncle, and especially my grandfather. It feels weird realizing she's no longer here.

Keep it as a backup. I would.

And now, for the obvious answer: A boxer. lol (Not the dog breed.)

"You guys should be tortured, too." No, we shouldn't. No. We should not. Don't be like John Lydon who once said "We suffer! And you'll suffer for it."

What do you call a duck on drugs? A quackhead.

I can finally say I’m the answer to Life, the Universe, EVERYTHING! I’m 42 today, but don’t want a big deal made out of it being my birthday. So no thread, please?

Blah blah blah. (Or nothing.)

Did you hear about the guy who invented the Knock Knock joke? He won the No-bell Prize.

You're right. I mean I did mow my mom's back yard a little while ago. I even got stung by a wasp shortly before coming back inside for my trouble. lol (I'm fine. Just irritated, is all.)

Oh, that's just because I haven't been posting much lately. lol

That's awesome! Working from home can be the absolute best thing for someone provided they don't get stir crazy. I liked working from home when I did because I could save on gas. The drawback was being couped up all day when I was used to moving around and not stationary. I was able to find ways to work around it though sometimes, which was good. Congratulations and good luck!
