My mom told me it's because when he goes on layoff from work he gets all pent up and bitchy. makes no sense, he gets unemployment and his boss (who is super cool btw) gives him a fat Christmas bonus. His last day of work is tomorrow. They aren't working, his boss is taking him & the other guy to lunch for beers and stuff. And last year his boss spent $250 on that... to put it into perspective.

Yikes. You did what you had to for the current situation, but he should seek help if it's that bad. Normally, we have been or are cool... but when he gets in asshole mode all he does is try to make himself sound better than everyone and/or make everyone around him miserable. He's been treading lightly with his shit with my mom though because she is going through a lot of stress with her mom. I guess he doesn't realize that she is my grandmother? We are supposed to be putting hardwood floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, but if he is in dick mode like this I won't be helping him. So my mom & I have a plan, since he is supposedly going down to Delaware for 2 weeks starting Sunday, I'm doing the shit while he is away. Besides he's not exactly the best finish carpenter... he likes to halfass things.
