DangerMouse Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) One Piece Episode 770 The Secret of the Land of Wano! The Kozuki Family and the Ponegliffs! The Ponegliffs' secret is unveiled, linking the Straw Hats to an ancient story closer than they imagined. SET SAIL WITH THE STRAW HATS AT 2AM! Edited March 29 by DangerMouse 2
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Chopper really looks like a goof in that introduction scene. 1
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Are the Poneglyphs an actual language like we'd see in Star Wars etc? Gold Roger was that thorough?! Get Sanji and get the One Piece... easy peasy. Big Mom and Kaido have 2 other Road Poneglyphs?! How did they move them?! 1
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Luffy's raring to go, and Usopp's somehow holding him back. Oh and of course Kaido's got one of the road poneglyps under his control. Guess we know where they're headed next after dealing with Big Mom. 1
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Oh, no way will it go so smoothly, Usopp... Luffy wants to fight those people?! He must have a death wish. 2

I was wondering the exact same thing and just quickly looked it up to see. But apparently they're not a fully realized language at all and the symbols don't have any actual meaning. Probably a good thing, cuz if they were someone would have probably deciphered it and spread mega spoilers about how the story's going to end everywhere by now. 4
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Only Robin can read the Poneglyphs? Out of everyone in the world? All the rest that could got killed on her home island? I'd be surprised if no one high up in the World Government, Navy, or Celestial Dragons could read them. Edited March 29 by ben0119
DangerMouse Posted March 29 Author Posted March 29 (edited) LOL a token female member in the back, cool fanservicey readhead though Edited March 29 by DangerMouse 1

I figured Oda would go to those lengths. But then again, if someone was able to crack the code like you said, that could cause nuclear spoilers. 😄 Well, this avoids that and makes less work for Oda, having to make up another language on top of everything else. 😄 2
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Oh so that was a dream/flashback and not Jack trying to attack again. So somehow Fujimoto and/or someone else there got around Jack's Wolverine-level healing ability?
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The Poneglyphs came from Wano? I never would've thought that. They seem more mystical ancient civilization-coded than Feudal Japan-coded. Momonosuke's dad is dead?! What?! 1
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The Shogun aligned with Kaido... and executed the lord. What a bunch of shit.
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Damn, Oden was with Roger. Wait, wasn't Kaido the guy trying and failing to commit suicide? Why does he care about doing any of this stuff? 1
ben0119 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) I keep forgetting that Roger isn't from a hundred or more years ago and there's still people around that adventured with him. Well, one of them just got executed, unfortunately. Edited March 29 by ben0119 1
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Damn, this episode contained a lot of big juicy new info. Kaido's at the center of much of it, too. He definitely seems like quite the enigma. Does make you wonder why he'd be bothering with so much of this stuff if all he wants to do is die. Maybe he thinks figuring out the secrets of the past or finding Laugh Tale and the One Piece will somehow reveal a way for him to kill himself at last. I mean if that's what he's really after, then it could make sense in that way. From what we've seen so far, it did seem like the old world before the blank century had some pretty advanced super weapons of some sort. 3
Top Gun Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Oda: "lol, you thought I was done with massive earth-shattering revelations" 3
Roymustang1990 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I really can't stand the Spoiler fake crying from "X" character from this episode here
DangerMouse Posted March 29 Author Posted March 29 Damn, I don't know many spoilers but just realized still over 200 episodes away from the character I'm looking forward to debuting lol. 2

Roymustang1990 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Ponegraphs plot point should have been revealed a little sooner 2
