Listen, kiddo.  Cops, deputies, ICE agents and even bounty hunters are nothing but glorified janitors.  Their job is just simply, lift, haul and dump.  When you have questions or comments about any of your rights, that's what judges and lawyers are for.  For identification, Social Security numbers are key.  Your state issued ID and your passport records include the numbers, in the paperwork.  

If you're arrested and the arresting agent decides to pull a few dirty tricks, such as discarding your documents, stay calm and wait for wait for the second phase of the arrest.  You're going to get dumped into central processing.  The processor's job is to determine who you are.  It's not the arresting officer's job unless you have a few warrants on your head.  The CP clerk will ask for the number.  Presto, he can access your whole identity, card or no card.  If you're legit and your identity checks out, you're sprung in two or three hours.

How many times did you get dropped on your head as a child? Serious question.

The people being scooped up and deported are being denied due process. Full stop. Using small words, they get picked up and put away and they aren't allowed to see a judge or a lawyer or call anyone. They get sent to undisclosed ICE detention centers in states as far from their original point of kidnapping possible, concentration camps or foreign prisons. They are gone.
