Max is changing its name back to HBO Max after the rebrand lasted about a year

Huh, so all those references to HBO Max that Royal Crackers made won’t date the show anymore. 
 

I don’t believe I have ever seen an example of a show being dated, and then later on becoming undated.

I've seen plenty of rebrands in my time...but I think this is the first time I've seen a de-branding. Where they revert back to their original branding.

You had to delete the app and download a “new” one when they changed to Max so that’s kinda funny a 2nd time even when I’m not borrowing bro’s password anymore.

I had to create an entirely new account with the first rebrand. If that turns out to be the case this time, they may lose a customer here.

Warner is claiming they’re switching from “More is better” to “better is better” as their plans to potentially split the linear channels gathers steam and support.  And when it comes to quality, the HBO brand is still the top tier.

Seems like HBO Max will be mostly HBO and DC films/shows with a dash of Adult Swim (and other adult animation), a dash of Discovery shows and some things acquired or made specifically for the service. There will probably be a kids (and family) section but it's gonna be mostly movies but the Boomerang section is out and the CN section might be too.

Kids shows will end up on other streamers and the older library titles will go to places like Tubi along with MeTV Toons. Tubi hasn't gotten a CN show yet to my knowledge but they probably will eventually.
