That's what the Goodyear blimp used to look like?!  She was never pretty but damn she's put on pounds!

Would be hilarious if Treble looked like Ace or Law back then. 🤣

Look at the G man!

Spread by a toxin, not contagious.  It was a chemical accident, or attack?

White lead... no way something like that could be a problem.

We knew lead was toxic since Ancient Roman times, but it didn't get banned until the 20th century.  The fuck.

And the guy who got it banned was a scientist trying to use lead dating to devise the age of the Earth, but couldn't get accurate results because pipes, glass, paint, everything in his lab had lead in it.

did she not die in the 4Kids dub?

Pretty sure she died in the 4Kids dub too, but no One Piece fan I know from back then actually thought she died.  She's likely to be Smoker's subordinate, Tashigi, but lost her memories.

Otherwise making a character like that is pointless.  I'll laugh my ass off if that hasn't been addressed at all, even after 300 more episodes.  And no, don't tell me. 😄

Progressively shortened the lifespan with each successive generation? That's some seriously toxic shit. Still don't get how it could be safe if left in the ground. Wouldn't it get into the water table and get absorbed by plant roots or something? Whatever it's an anime, so no point in trying to overanalyze it.

Of course the little sister would get sick.

Other countries were bastards wow.  And World Government too.  Locked them in there to die and shot them if they left.

That's such a cartoonishly tragic fate for a country damn lmao.

Oda definitely isn't pro-government lul.

Yeah he’s clearly not a fan of authoritarianism but he seems more like an anti-imperialist, anti-nationalist. And that’s the right position imo. Government isn’t inherently bad.

Post got eaten.  See if I can remember what I wrote.

The parents died from gun shots or explosion?  And all the kids who tried to escape died too, and the nun?

Greed always wins in the end.  Fucking hell.

Definitely depends on the type of government and who's in charge.  People think our government is bad, they need to look at the likes of Mexico or Russia lmao.  Now THAT is corruption, and Russia is corrupt AND a dictatorship.

Too on the nose for what's happening to America in 2025. Almost serendipity that Toonami is airing this saga in this age.

Mexico is going in the right direction; we're going in the WRONG direction!!

I mean, he is a scumbag, but I don't think he was involved in your family's death and country's destruction haha.

"Aaammm you tried to kill Corozon, I'm telling on you!"

Uhh sure lol.  The cartels still run Mexico.  It has travel warnings on the same level as the middle east.  Why was the Mexican government so upset we arrested El Chapo's son?

You haven't paid attention to what's going on in places NYC and California where violent criminals get slaps on the wrist for attacking people?  Should that continue or should we actually do something about those psychos?

Oh that's what else got eaten in the post.  These guys have machine guns but others have flintlocks and Franky is a cyborg.  Tech is all over the map in this world. 😄
