Quadrillions. 1000000000000000s. That’s how many cicada we can expect this year, with the 13 year and 17 broods emerging at the same time. The last time this happened, Thomas Jefferson was president. The next time, in 2245, there probably won’t be an America?

Do you live in an area where they’re emerging? We have just the 13 year brood here, and it’s more than enough.

I think we only have the Plains version of the noisy bug around here. They are an every year type thing so probably won't get any louder than usual.

I guess these are strictly a Louisiana (and MS) thing, because NOWHERE that I've ever mentioned love bugs has anyone who knows what I'm talking about....but these fuckers are EVERYWHERE 2 times a fucking year and they stink when they die...and when you have a billion of them smashed on your brand new white Beamer, you really start to reevaluate your life choice's
