Crossing your fingers for good luck

Sometimes, when something is really important, you cross your fingers on both hands.

How do you know that doesn't cancel it out?

Maybe it's like a light switch. On or off.

I don’t believe that I’ve ever actually crossed my fingers.

What does this say about me? Could it be the reason why I seem to have little good luck.

You mean like, crossing your fingers on one hand gives you good luck, but crossing your fingers on your other hand cancels it out?
