It's going to be too funny if Philly really bungled their Process draft picks to the point where the son of an employee who they drafted and then traded on the same night ends up sending them home in the first round during Embiid's MVP season.

I'm definitely cheering for the bad guys in Golden State right now, but in a way where I'd also love to see them wiped off the court by Sacramento.

I’d like to think he’s not the bad guy.  Dillon Brooks, however…

Lakers vs Memphis today. Two incredibly cringey teams collide in a series that only people around Stephen A Smith age really care about, everyone else is just waiting for AD to get hurt and Lebron to start auspiciously wearing a walking boot of questionable utility before and after games as a visual reminder that he's playing hurt so none of this is his fault.

Knicks won an away playoff game for the first time since Ewing was playing.

The last time I remember them making the playoffs at all was like ten years ago with Melo, and even then the most memorable part of that season was Steph Curry scoring 50 at MSG and some assorted JR Smith antics... Just doesn't feel right to see them playing this late in the year.

Philly being down 5 at the turn seems a bit generous given the play, but the unusually low scoring means it's still Philly's to lose.

Edit... and, like clockwork...

So Draymond gonna Draymond.  I didn't see the ankle grab when they first showed the clip because the action was so fast, and it seemed like a cut and dried case of suspending Green.  After seeing it slowed down, my perspective changed on this.  Grabbing someone's ankle is as bad as stepping on a defenseless player so - my unpopular take here is that if Green is suspended (which he probably should be) then so should Sabonis for not only initiating the exchange but also putting Green at risk for injury.

With just a few minutes left in game 3 I was like *oof Philly is letting this thing get away, they're about to lose this game, hell maybe the series"....then they went on a 11-1 run to end the game, with the help of Brooklyn Bridges who faked out his own teammate on an inbounds pass.

So horrible that even on a Saturday we have to wait until 9pm for a fucking basketball game to start, just to accommodate the worthless rats on Pacific time.

There's 8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and this game is already over.

Jimmy Butler is the best player in these playoffs not named Captain Curry. That should be the Finals matchup if the refs don't give the West to LeBron.

I am somewhat mystified how they came up with the 8:30 EDT start time.

Nobody has time for this shit.

The Miami game ended TWO HOURS AGO.

We all know 8:30 means tip-off won't be until 8:45 at the earliest.

They literally showed live footage DURING the Miami game of lebron on the court in uniform getting up shots.

What the fuck are they doing.

Mark Jackson is the single worst bball announcer probably ever. He's such a weird dumb guy.

"Andrew Wiggins turning back the hand of time" he is 28 years old, what the hell are you talking about?

I literally thought Philly only had 6 points in the entire 3rd quarter, no idea where they got those other 4 at the end I must have missed it while rewinding to laugh at the clown show.

That was the #1 wildest Harden playoff collapse I have ever seen, and there have been some very strong contenders. I still remember him being benched for Corey Brewer in the 4th quarter, and the game where everyone was openly wondering afterward whether he was playing through a concussion or had been bribed to take a dive, and the 27 straight missed 3's....

This was another concussion style game. He didn't even look old, just absolutely all the way completely fucked up. I honestly couldn't believe it when he came back in the game mere seconds after being benched halfway through that third quarter. Leave his ass sitting down for at least a few minutes and see if someone else can do something got dam.

Looked like he was choking on anxiety and qualuudes and early onset CTE and idek what else all at once. If it was anyone else it would be mystifying and deeply concerning, but we've seen this before with him. This is just playoff James Harden.

Celtics shit the bed just as I thought.

I honestly want a sweep but no way it'll go down that way

The problem is the Celts lost the first game last round and still pulled it out.  They get way more respect than they deserve though.  I mean, beating the Sixers isn’t going to get you kudos.

I feel like the Lakers and Celtics not having won a game in the Conference Finals has something to do with the writer's strike but I can't put my finger on it.

Lol.

No matter what, it’s been an insane ride.  Can’t be mad at the Nuggets being legit.

Of course, it will be a ton better if the Celtics get crushed.

We are one game away from basketball-playing horse* Nikola Jokić becoming a NBA champion

*Blame for this revelation goes to EDSBS (AKA Spencer Hall) on Twitter

Jokic really is getting some crazy ass recognition now.

I'm so happy the basketball narrative is leaning more to him than leBron because i was like "dude lost, he's out....who cares if he's crying and wants to retire"

Jokic is a man on a mission, he's in the business of proving people wrong because the basketball media has been all over this man, honestly, I'm not a Denver fan (though I'll say they've easily been the best team this year), but even I'm rooting for this man.

I'm also happy that we're not talking about the usual suspects in terms of teams and LeBron, since the perception the media has given is that teams like the Nuggets don't draw enough interest to talk about, and I think the Nuggets took exception to that as well.
