11,000 Dead in Turkey and Syria

The other day they had a massive earthquake.  I can’t even imagine the hell that must be the destruction zone

The pictures coming out of there are horrific. I saw one video of people running as buildings collapsed that might as well have been Lower Manhattan over 20 years ago.

reading the stories out of Turkey and the added hell of war torn Syria is really sad enough. I opted out of videos and images for now. I should force myself to look. I won’t but I should.

I only accidentally saw a few images, but the one I saw was heart wrenching.

Flipping through the news this morning, caught the footage of the newborn being rushed from a pile of absolute rubble. The mother gave birth when everything collapsed on her, newborn survived but she didn't.

That's one of the better ones.

This disaster made me learn there's a province in Turkey called Batman. No one died in Batman, but there are injured people.
