Being an announcement at Jump Festa gives me pretty good confidence it’s not another live action mess. 
 

They did do that anniversary animation not too long ago, maybe that was a trial run for a “Kai” version of Naruto that doesn’t have half of 500 episodes as filler

Lionsgate apparently still has the Naruto rights.  They even had a director (dude behind The Greatest Showman), but I bet the contract has long expired.
