Batman: Caped Crusader and My Adventures with Superman greenlit for HBO Max

The Superman show looks like dogshit unfortunately, since it looks like the same losers that ran She-Ra into merchandising hell to the point Mattel is trying to forget it happened.  The Batman show, that is probably Toonami bound if DeMarco gets his way.

I’m more excited for the Superman show because the art looks cute and I’d honestly go for a Clark Kent story where he has to navigate around his civilian job as a reporter. It sounds like a fresh breath of air compared to asshole dictator Superman that the comics, movies, and video games keep giving us.

On the other hand, I got a bad feeling about this Batman one. Bruce Timm’s record has been far spottier lately and Jar Jar Abrams being anywhere around a “re-imagining” is gonna be trouble.

Lois is the tomboy I mentioned, and Jimmy is the black guy. You can tell it's him because he was originally a redhead in the source material.

If I didn't know who Jimmy was, how would I even know he used to be a red-head?

I was speaking in generalities, not at you specifically. You really need to get better at that, Mr. "Unironically Has No Idea What a Jimmy Olsen Even Is".

Cool because it's common knowledge that everyone knows who Jimmy Olsen is.

Well, let's see. There are three people in the picture, along with three names. Let's look at these clues and see if we can match them up!

I'll go out on a limb here and assume that you know who Clark Kent is and are able to figure out which one is him. (Hint: It's the big guy who looks like every other version of Superman that's ever happened)

Still with me? Now we have Lois and Jimmy. Of the two remaining characters, one of them is wearing earrings and looks noticeably more feminine than the other. Lois is typically a girl's name, so adding these facts together, we take a good guess that the girl is Lois.

We're almost done! We have one name left, and just one more character to figure out. Maybe, just maybe, the guy who isn't Lois or Clark is this mysterious Jimmy? And hey, he's very clearly holding a giant camera. Perhaps this phantom Jim is some sort of photographer?

Good job, team! We solved this mystery together! Wasn't that fun?

I'm more excited about getting our first Superman solo animated series in around two decades than a new Batman cartoon but hey at this point it's been close to 10 years since Beware the Batman was dead on arrival.

I'd sure love to see that Batman series at least encore on Adult Swim (particularly Toonami) if it's going to CN daytime, seems to be going for an older audience than My Adventures with Superman.

Most of all I'm excited that WBA is making two action cartoons for Cartoon Network. It's been close to a decade since action animation has been given a good shot on CN daytime.
